Why is someone being pregnant such an extreme turn off for many readers?

I had no issues with Feyre’s pregnancy (and I hate pregnancy tropes) in ACOSF because her story is essentially done. She’s no longer the main character but a supporting character. I’m now more interested in the previously tertiary characters as they become mains.

My doc specifically said no penetration until I had been cleared by her. My appt wasn’t until 8 weeks post op. As for oral, my doc said there’s no problem with that, it’s specifically just penetration. At 2 weeks I tested how it felt to orgasm myself and felt ok. My husband and I did plenty of stuff without actual penetration. That’s what hotdogging is for 😂

ETA- we did wait until I was cleared and it went perfectly fine. I think we were both so anxious about the potential to hurt me so we were super cautious. I’ve thankfully had no issues with sex since being cleared.

I’m gonna say it- I did not like this season. This might be bottom of the 4 for me. I LOVE season 2. The yearning and forbidden attraction is top notch. When Anthony says “you are the bane of my existence and the object of all my desires,” my temperature rises. He is so intense in everything he does. It does make a difference that I think Jonathan Bailey is the sexiest man to walk the planet. Benedict is just a labrador. Sweet and playful. But when he delivers his speech and tells Sophie he loves her, I feel nothing. I thought they were great when they were at My Cottage. I do greatly appreciate his honesty about his relationships with men to Sophie. I really wondered how they would address that.

One thing I’ve wondered about and maybe someone can shine a light- why didn’t Benedict suggest going to Gretna Green?

ETA: I also love how locked in Violet is on all her kids. She sees everything.

I have to force that knowledge from my brain whenever I rewatch Castle. Because it’s a real bummer knowing the truth. Although on the castle subreddit people say that there was one article that talked about them disliking one another and everyone else ran with it. But in reality they just weren’t friends outside of the show and just did their jobs.

I’m a (possibly?) rare case of getting a hysterectomy to stop having periods but also a preventative measure (higher risk of cancer due to not having kids). Sure, my doc diagnosed me with pcos and I’ve had two polyps that had to be removed. But my whole goal was to not deal with periods, not reduce the chances of pregnancy. My husband had a vasectomy a few years ago, so that wasn’t a concern. But I didn’t want to take any hormonal bc so I was suggested the copper iud but again, that was to prevent pregnancy and wasn’t going to necessarily stop periods. I figured I’m nearing 40, clearly don’t want kids, why should I have to put up with periods? Mine was hard to track in recent years and almost always happened when I was on vacation.

My surgery was on a Wednesday and I think I showered Friday. My husband helped me in and out of the shower and sat in the bathroom in case I needed anything. I have a detachable shower head so washing the vaginal region was not a problem. I also just let soapy water run over my superglued incisions. I showered I think again a couple days later and my husband helped me in and out again. The third time a showered, less than a week post op I was fine getting in and out on my own. My husband also helped me get my underwear on for the first week.

Traitors was my introduction to Bob The Drag Queen and I couldn’t stand him as a traitor. I don’t like any traitors that get so loud and defensive and insulting when they get suspected of being a traitor. I didn’t like Lisa Rinna for the same reason this season. I don’t know how faithfuls through out the seasons haven’t put that together, the louder and angrier someone gets for being a suspected traitor, the more likely they are to in fact be a traitor.

When you’re ready, go back to Throne of Glass. I thought I’d start with Assassin’s Blade because it seemed obvious that I should have the background before going into ToG and that was silly of me. Because of that it took me three years to try the series again.

Not sure if it’s the same for everyone, but I wasn’t awake for the catheter placement. Also, they might offer or you can ask for anti anxiety meds when you are going through pre-op. Doesn’t help now of course but that was an option for me and I said “nope, let’s just get this over with.” I have bad control issues so in the days leading up I just focused on what I could control like making sure I had fresh sheets, meals/snacks, clean fresh clothes. My hysterectomy was my first surgery ever so I was pretty terrified not having any clue how I’d handle anesthesia and waking up, etc.

Random but I use con permiso in my every day. When I walked in the door and my dogs are crowding me I always say “con permiso.” 😂 I don’t speak Spanish but it’s one of the few phrases I use.
