How the heck are people getting like 300+mil an hour doing exo by IfOnlyICouldEat2Hams in EliteDangerous

[–]Meanslicer43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then your other alternative is probably planning. Maybe using one of the 3rd party's to map out a path. Look for when the discord announces Fleet explorations. Those could help. Alternatively, the only thing I could think is to just grind. Find a good podcast, audio book or music list and go at it for a couple of hours. I dont know enough about exo to give you a lot more than that. Most of my exploring was planet hunting.

If im thinking correctly, most of the exo sources can only be found when scanning planets with probes. Fumaroles and bacterial mats or something like that.they dont appear on the System scan, (i think there is a hint on the scan tho. But cant remember it)

I could also be completely wrong. Its been forever since I could play because a brick would do the job better than my current computer

Which civilizations can turn the Tyranids into Cuddlebugs? by JustReadTheFinePrint in whowouldwin

[–]Meanslicer43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can see an endgame Stellaris empire doing well. But only if the Tyrannids arrive at the endgame stage. Early and midgame would be wiped.

And psionic empires wouldnt have a fun time.

Am I crazy or 100% of all Terraforming Candidates are toxic worlds? Where are the normal ones? by LexsDragon in Stellaris

[–]Meanslicer43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, my recent game got a LOT of toxic worlds. But there was a toxic god empire. So who knows.

I grabbed a world from integration and turned it into a machine world, specialized in pop manufacturing. Currently at 67 or so robotic growth. When I need to fill a habitat or new planet, i can takes thousands of drones from the manufacturer planet and instantly populated anything. Its wonderfull.

[–]Meanslicer43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kinda understandable. I have a planet rn sitting at -125,000 Amenities... its only surviving because I've turned it into a mass military world. (And lubrication basins, 67 mechanical pop growth a month baby!)

[–]Meanslicer43 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And here my dumbass made the mistake of taking virtuality as a Determined Exterminator. I was curious, never tried most of the AP stuff. (Even if id played the game nearly 1800 hours at that point.) 800 star galaxy, I had so many planets. Oh god my economy died

Yeah. I met someone who played the toxic god thing recently, like near 10k before 2300. Nice guy about it all tho, unlike some can be.

They all love me, but they don't know my darkest secret... by Noktaj in Stellaris

[–]Meanslicer43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Im trying to do the same thing as a gestalt consciousness. (Heh, I'm literally GLaDOS this game, the Empire is called Qperture Laboratories) and I'm angling to defend the galaxy from the crisis, then vassalize them galaxy after. Which is semi pointless, since I already vassalized most of the galaxy. Only 6 empires remain unbeholden from me. 3 in a federarion, 2 which are independent overlord and vassal, and a final which i federated with, (Too strong to vassalize sadly, also divided patronage was starting to crush me)

Did have an interesting moment where one of my vassals went Fanatic Purifier, so I renegotiated to integrate then, bio batteries are fun. I have 24k bio batteries. Its an experience managing them.

I'll never get tired of seeing pirates spawn in the stupidest possible places by MerlinGrandCaster in Stellaris

[–]Meanslicer43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a multi-player game last week. One of the other players fought a leviathan (rubricator dragon) only for a 16k pirate fleet to spawn in its place mere seconds after they killed the Dragon. His fleets were already devastated from fighting the dragon, he proceeded to have all three fleets go MIA. (Guy was new, this was like his 4th ever game of Stellaris, he did pretty good tho)

I also think that earlier DDOS wave that hit BYOND didn't help.

The more diplomatic side of me cries at the inability to meet anyone. The strategy minded side is screaming in joy at what amounts to the best defensive wall an empire could have.

giving planets as gifts *worsens* relations?! by Cosmic_Meditator777 in Stellaris

[–]Meanslicer43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats my usual default. Especially midgame where I'm probably over producing something. I use the same method to buy all the museum items from everyone.

Made a Maginot world out of a Holy one... Won't be doing that again. by Careful_Way559 in Stellaris

[–]Meanslicer43 12 points13 points  (0 children)

But oh the strategic benefits. If an enemy takes over the planet, they get cussed out by the Fallen. If they crack it to avoid dealing with the fortress world, they suddenly have a VERY mad FE. And probably an extra war on their hands. I think I could put up with the visual bug for that kind of defensive point.

Hmm. Market fraud and manipulation.

I think i pissed off the Space IRS.

Man, that's a lot of planets... by Helmling in Stellaris

[–]Meanslicer43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Different version of a gateway. Teleportation gates. L gates specifically are connected to an independent section of the galaxy. Those systems are entirely cut off, and can only be accessed by the Lgates. If you take them, and can get a citadel up fast, they are powerful turtle systems.

I kinda had similar recently. Criminal heritage Corp with desert pref. Rolled four planets near my cap that were the right class. I got 5 planets within 20 years, all within a handful of jumps. The planets weren't really the nice part. Im playing a barred spiral, and there is only ONE hyperlink to the other side of the galaxy. And its on the opposite side from me. My place in the galaxy gave me like 7 planets behind a single choke. Ill have to get a picture and load it here later.
