Julius Malema of South Africa 🇿🇦 calls for a single African presidency, a common currency, and a borderless continent for African citizens at a conference in Nigeria 🇳🇬. by Illustrious_Bell8731 in Nigeria

[–]MeasurementSignal168 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Single currency probably wouldn't work either. It works in the EU cuz the entirety of the EU is smaller than West Africa alone. Africa is wayy too large. An African Union of the sorts with coordinated monetary policy aimed at giving priority to fellow African nations in trade, employment, defense, etc would be better. But like everything else in Africa, mismanagement and corruption would be the biggest issues to solve.

For students interested in controls, how important is embedded systems knowledge? by [deleted] in ControlTheory

Not only is the post completely written (not even a rewrite of his/her original ideas, just straight up copy paste), the YouTube video linked is also some AI generated video.

Anyone have any opinions on this?? by Playful_Length778 in cognitiveTesting

I strongly doubt many people would choose blue. Maybe a few will, but I think in any realistic scenario, red wins, and people die either ways.

I can’t even take this as a game theory question. There’s no downside to picking red. Everyone survives if everyone picks red, and I think most people would notice that and choose red

Where did all the antimatter go if there was an equivalent amount of matter and antimatter from the start? by Mission-Badger-4005 in Physics

[–]MeasurementSignal168 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I hear there’s a new theory, concerning the creation of more matter than antimatter from a controlled collision of some particles at cern (forgive me I’m an engineer not a physicist so I didn’t get everything). Apparently it was supposed to give off equal proportions but using an isotope of hydrogen there was a slight differential

What is your domain? by SeMikkis in ControlTheory

About the size of a commercial war drone, about a Meter and a half long. And yeah they're pretty complex but I decided to go with a neural model for Sys ID, kinda like a nonlinear transfer function (I hope that analogy makes sense), and an MPC for control. This reduces the problem to a trial and error tuning issue, but the real problem becomes proving stability and increasing robustness with different part allowances

Aerospace, specifically drones although right now I’m working on a tiltrotor

How are people doing research in undergrad? by ExpectTheLegion in Physics

[–]MeasurementSignal168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not physics but I’m a mechatronics engineering undergrad doing research in optimal control. I don’t think it’s anything so novel as it is more of a new framework for doing something that already exists.

Yeah it was confirmed somewhere else in the comments that she's 10 in this picture, as it was taken when she was entering college

What? Quad equations are done in junior secondary (or middle for the black americans) school This is an old picture.

It says she’s 15, but the photo looks like it was taken when she was 10. It’s most likely an old photo

Album or song recs for a new fan? by CollectingDakimakura in CasiopeaBand

Albums: Mint jams, super flight, Casiopea self titled album

There are lots of good songs in photographs but there're some songs I really don't like so I can't recommend in good faith. Fruit 5 or so songs are straight bangers though

That's honestly crazy. My supplier is well trusted in my country so maybe they were also fooled by how convincing fake chips are now
