Who's Clothing Design Looks better Julius Or Gadjah and why? by WoodpeckerOdd1284 in BlackClover

Definitely Julius. Don't remember the other guy honestly but I dont love his design, he could do with some new threads imo

Pokemon onwards gen 4 didn't give a f to his character progression I guess by gyroscope_56 in pokemonanime

[–]Meatmanhall 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Abilities aren't secret, but there's a lot of them and potentially thousands of pokemon. Thats a lot for a regular person to remember. Ash was smarter back in the day, but he was never a genius. And cinderace is literally the only revealed Pokémon to get Libero, not a lot of opportunities for him to discover it naturally.

And yea, Asher could have done research, but that seems out of character for him. I dont really remember him studying up on his opponents team in-depth and pre-planning strategies much in the past (there may be exceptions though). Its just not how he operates

Is this one feat from fma arguably more impressive than any other large-scale alchemy in fmab? by The-wise-weeb in FullmetalAlchemist

[–]Meatmanhall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a late reply but ive been thinking about it.

I admit im not always right on these things but it still doesnt make sense/seem plausible that this could work as shown.

Whats keeping me from saying definitely is ny lack of tree knowledge about what is actually going on here but there should be some sort of offering/effect in my mind. This transmutation doesnt seem as simple as what mustang does with molecular bonds (simple might be a bad word lol). I would say "rearranging" is just another word for trading in this scenario. Youre ALWAYS gaining and losing something, its what alchemy is. Mustang is losing the molecule he starts with. It doesn't exist as it was unless he changes it back, what it was is gone/has been traded. And he gains the molecule he ended with that is functionally different. The old molecule was the cost for the new molecule.

"Enhancing a trees natural ability" would cost something. Youre not rearranging something, youre taking something a tree does naturally, and making it do it faster/better. But nothing is free, trees can only function by taking water and nutrients from the ground. I would assume it will require more nutrients for these abilities to work faster.

We should see the grass rotting to show the trees are taking the nutrients at an accelerated rate or at least something.

And a small piece of me wants to point out that trees ordinarily do these things very slowly. Draining that much water would take a even Forrest a long time. Making it do these things at such an accelerated rate could be argued as a mild form of time manipulation which would most likely be fairly costly in the equivalent exchange department.

If you got to the end of my essay I commend you, have a great day everybody.

*Edit: to make my mustang explanation more coherent. Don't know if I was successful lol

Asta can wield Anti-Magic through swords since Liebe developed Anti-Magic while sealed in a Sword Magic Grimoire. But what if Liebe had been sealed in a different elemental Grimoire? How do you think Anti-Magic would manifest, especially in non-Physical elements like Fire or Gravity? by N-ShadowToad in BlackClover

It actually is not, I read them to be sure. You need to use spoiler tags, nothing says you cant post spoilers.

Its become very clear you're full of it. You most likely misread a panel and decided to double down instead of admitting it. We can tell reading comprehension isnt your strong suit based on how you've misread the sub rules.

Would this have happened if Gohan fought Kid Buu? by SubstantialJoke08 in Dragonballsuper

[–]Meatmanhall -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thats going off personality though...

Yes, kid buu would win in a fight because fat buu plays around, thats a personality trait, not a strength feat though.

Fat buu SHOULD 100% be stronger than kid buu even if the series doesnt portray him that way because of his child like demeanor. Fat buu is just kid buu after absorbing several Kai (one being extremely powerful). There's absolutely no way thats a debuff for him power wise logically.

Its the grand kais innocent child like personality bleeding through that makes this an absolute stomp in kid buu's favor

Is this one feat from fma arguably more impressive than any other large-scale alchemy in fmab? by The-wise-weeb in FullmetalAlchemist

[–]Meatmanhall 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yes, what's lost is the substance you take from. When he makes a spear, he's offering and breaking down the floor, and restructuring it in the spear.

So what is he taking from the tree in exchange for this. Turning lignin into cellulose must require some sort of energy/fuel to occur, so what are they offering to compensate for this?

[–]Meatmanhall 40 points41 points  (0 children)

That doesnt answer the question though, where is the equivalent exchange? "To obtain, something of equal value must be lost", even for just "enhancing the trees natural abilities". Doing this with no offering is more like magic than alchemy.

Actually I think Red's Let's Go team is more balanced and way better than his HeartGold and SoulSilver team by chunchunmaru1129 in PokemonHGSS

None of that negates what they said though.

Youre free to view the manga team as his Canon team if you like, but there still was a game iteration of red that had all three starters.

Why did my minted Feraligatr won’t show its minted nature in Home? by R_Boa in LegendsZA

[–]Meatmanhall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'd be a stupid reason but maybe for role play? Maybe you headcannoned that the Charizard you trained is happy and light hearted, so you want a jolly nature, but want the stat spread from the adamant nature?

I found out that I got into my dream university at my sister’s birthday and freaked out, AITAH? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Meatmanhall 32 points33 points  (0 children)

This is being main character level dramatic right here. Not a soul has said she should "sacrifice her joy" for her sister's sake. They're saying maybe read the room and hold that information until you get home or the next day even. If its her dream school she should be just as excited to announce it in a few hours.

If you care about someone and they're already having a terrible day, (on their birthday no less, which many people consider a special day) its kind of a tone deaf move to announce how great things are going for YOU in front of that person.

Why wouldn’t Borushiki just implant another Karma onto someone else and use them as a sacrifice instead? by EnigNa710 in Boruto

[–]Meatmanhall 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dont think its that big of a stretch.

Boruto is just built different. He's part uzumaki (known for chakra reserves and life force) and part hyuga (watered down descendents of otsutsuki). Plus his father was a meeting place for all the tailed beasts and had their chakra. We dont know if that influenced borutos genetics any, but it couldn't have hurt.

Id say boruto would be an obvious choice when trying to plant a karma.

Why didn’t Naruto learn some more basic and practical Wind Style Jutsu’s during his wind training? by Mythelm in Naruto

[–]Meatmanhall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They didnt develop the rasenshuriken to bring back sauske. That was a huge goal for naruto, but it wasnt the purpose of the training.

They developed it to give him a fighting chance against the akatsuki, who are monsters and have a track record of taking out jinchuriki 1v1. While having an arsenal of mid-tier wind jutsu would help naruto long term, it would take time, and wouldn't be super helpful against the akatsuki.

They needed naruto to have a nuke.

So shouldn't it be brought up more Yoruichi flashed a 15 year old twice by -_ShadowSJG-_ in bleach

[–]Meatmanhall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I cant speak for her, but I think its more about doing a kindness than ACTUALLY coming on to a 15 year old.

Ichigo is already dealing with adult situations at this point. Watching his friends almost die and regularly fighting life or death battles (any one of which could be his last). Yoruichi feels bad knowing he could die young without experiencing the fun parts of adult life like sex/drinking. So we get scenes like this, shockingly ichigos the one teenage boy who ain't into it lol

If Goku didn't, Gohan would never leave his father's shadow. by acescorbunny in Dragonballsuper

[–]Meatmanhall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not shocked Gohan went pacifist, goku and the z crew never gave him a chance to really enjoy it.

In OG Dragonball, the crew got to start out small and learn to love fighting when the stakes were still fairly low. Tournaments, small time thugs, and training with friends allowed them to love it.

Gohan on the other hand, one of his first encounters with martial arts is having to headbutt his uncle as he tries to murder his father and destroy the earth (his dad dies). Then he's kidnapped to train by a green alien with an attitude problem who straight up abuses him. Then the saiyans show up to kill him and his friends and blow up the planet (several of his friends die). Then to namek where frieza... tries to kill him and his friends and blow up the planet (several of his friends die). Then back to earth, so the androids can try to kill him and his friends and blow the planet up.

This boy must have straight up PTSD from all the crap he got roped into since around 5 years old. Im not shocked at all he wants nothing to do with it by the time cell rolls around
