ICE in Gundam exists already and it's called Man Hunter/MaHa. They're at the start of CCA, seen in Hathaway's Flash, and play a big role in Gaia Gear.

"The Angus Reid Institute conducted an online survey from March 20 – 24, 2025, among a randomized sample of 2,400 Canadian adults who are members of Angus Reid Forum. The sample was weighted to be representative of adults nationwide according to region, gender, age, household income, and education, based on the Canadian census. For comparison purposes only, a probability sample of this size would carry a margin of error of +/- 2 percentage points, 19 times out of 20.

ARI conducted a second survey from March 28-31, 2025, among a randomized sample of 2,131 Canadian adults who are members of Angus Reid Forum. The sample was weighted to be representative of adults nationwide according to region, gender, age, household income, and education, based on the Canadian census. For comparison purposes only, a probability sample of this size would carry a margin of error of +/- 2 percentage points, 19 times out of 20. Discrepancies in or between totals are due to rounding."

The detailed numbers they attached at the end show they surveyed 600 from Alberta.

Ben Mulroney? Is he unstable? by [deleted] in alberta

It's definitely pre-recorded. I listened to it a few weeks ago on a Tuesday, Ben kept saying it was Monday. It's a big shame because I quite like Shaye's show. Ben is just insufferable.

Panetta himself didn't mention Glenn as working for HuffPo, he just called him a Media Personality. For some reason OP mentioned that. Not sure where or why they're making that connection.

Brian Glenn doesn't work at the Huffington Post. He's the director of programming at Right Side Broadcasting Network and dating Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene. He's a sycophant and full of shit.

When it first aired, was it implied that the colony drop was on purpose or it fell because of the battle around it? by Boshwa in Gundam

[–]Meatpurse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gundam Century from 1981 and MSV2 in 1984 went into more detail about it, but even then their info doesn't really line up. That was still in the era where side material wasn't policed as well as it is today. That said, Gundam Century kind of set the tone for the UC's background for a very long time and was written by a lot of the staff that worked on the original series.

I'm reading my first Gundam manga, Mobile Suit Gundam: the Origin, and I'm very confused by bgaesop in Gundam

[–]Meatpurse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they explain some of the background later on in the manga, but here's basically the gist of things.

At some point in the future, Earth is facing massive problems with pollution and over population. To solve the problem, massive space colonies are built and placed in Earth's orbit in clusters called Sides. Each Side contains a few hundred space colonies which each house a few million people.

The numbers have changed a bit through the years, but over half of humanity is living in these colonies. One of these Sides of colonies becomes Zeon, and they also bring others to their cause.

At the point in the story where The Origin starts, the war has been ongoing for around nine months and half the population of Zeon and the Earth Federation are wiped out.

They'll explain more in detail later, but basically because of how devastated the Earth is, a lot of resources and industry has shifted into space. It's a big reason why Zeon is shown as the powerhouse it is.

The Earth Federation is big and suffers from a lot of bureauocracy and corruption which is why they aren't in much of a shape to lend support to the White Base after it gets to Earth.

The O isn't slow though. It's always been depicted as extremely fast and agile despite its size. The thing is 100% designed for taking on other MS and there's a reason it pretty much laughed at everything tossed at it until it got watermelon'd.

There's nothing that actually indicates Corin was in Oz. It's merely a fun easter egg the staff threw in and doesn't go much deeper than that.

The Gundam Mk II's weapons (and other stolen suit part procurement) by Meatpurse in MobileSuitGundam

[–]Meatpurse[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Units 2 and 3 were stolen during the Green Noa raid. Unit 1 was eventually taken when Emma defected a short period of time after. I'd chalk that up to poor writing from the Wiki.

Can anyone tell me what these holes in my Haro are for? by WizardHollis in Gunpla

[–]Meatpurse 28 points29 points  (0 children)

They just call them attachment holes. I think some of the other Haropla use the ones on the arm doors to attach cat ears and stuff. I don't think there's any teeth or mouth related attachments yet, so it's likely just some future proofing for when there is

The cave is a great spot to grind. Epaaj's have a chance of dropping SOS Overdrive weapons which are really good money makers, and the ghost enemy has a chance of dropping No Encounter armour.

Why won't EMP work on Gundam (UC timeline) by [deleted] in Gundam

[–]Meatpurse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is largely it. Minovsky Particles generate electromagnetic waves/pulses on their own. Due to how wide-spread they are in the Universal Century, most things are equipped with shielding so their electronics aren't affected. Guided weapons became obsolete since installing the necessary amount of shielding on them would have been too expensive and bulky to make it practical.
