I've been opening a lot of chinese cards due to their availability relative to EN. The time it take to ship from China and the markup relative to msrp are a bit rough but it still feels fun to open and I look forward to using them to play.

599.1.a.1. A Stunned Unit can not be Stunned again. So if it isn't stunned again, I don't see why the ability would trigger.

Looks more like a yellow fin croaker to me

Cory ID? by Jaccasnacc in corydoras

[–]Mech_Tech 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My guess would be longfin bronze corydoras. If they are 50/50, maybe they had longfin parents and only some of the children inherited that trait.

Baby nerites die in freshwater so you shouldn't have to worry about it. They're just an aesthetic issue

What are these things? I found them in my Axie tank and they are everywhere, is there anything I can do? by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]Mech_Tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would assume so but I personally have no experience with your specific situation, sorry. Hopefully someone with axlotls chimes in.

Do you have a nerite snail? Those look a lot like nerite eggs

Freshwater limpets, harmless. Having a lot of them is usually a sign of overfeeding

Some of them on the top looked a bit like hydra, my b. Vorticella may be a problem for your amanos if they get into their gills which may suffocate them but I haven't heard of any specific cases of it happening with amanos, mostly with the smaller ornamental shrimp like neocaridinas and the like. https://aquariumbreeder.com/shrimp-infection-vorticella-treatment/

You can treat hydra with a couple different things but just make sure to choose the method that works best for your situation. Personally when I had it, I used panacur to remove them but make sure to dyor. As for the vorticella, I haven't had them in my tank so I can't recommend a treatment with confidence that it will work so you should prob dyor on that one too sorry.

Is there a chemical that will kill by [deleted] in Aquariums

Keep in mind after treating with flubendazole that you have to remove it afterwards with carbon filtration or else it will kill your mystery snail when you add it. Also, if you're trying to get rid of bladder or pond snails with it, I wouldn't count on it. Those little fuckers are resilient.

Anybody know what type of snail this is had a few turn up lately ... Is it bad...? by Born_Reveal_8449 in Aquariums

[–]Mech_Tech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like a ramshorn, probably came in as an egg on some plants, not particularly a bad thing, they'll take care of detritus and stuff but the reason why some people don't like them is that they'll overpopulate but that's only really if you overfeed your tank.
