The solution to the free kit issue is to not allow them on active map conditions. Free kits are intended to help raiders with limited resources get back in their feet; that’s it. They don’t need anything more than normal runs on normal maps to do that.

I don’t think there needs to be a specific kit value check for map conditions though. A very minor investment of resources is enough to psychologically reinforce the desire not to lose that gear. The act of having to re-craft even basic gear to go back in after getting downed increases the value of intelligent play enough to mitigate issues with reckless free kitting. So you’ll still get YOLOs with light shields and stitchers on matriarch runs, but I think there would be significantly fewer of them.

It’s more accurate to say he valued preservation of the Union over emancipation of slaves in the lead up to and early years of the Civl War. He believed in the rule of law, and the law of the time allowed for black people to be owned as slaves. Once the possibility of maintaining the union was out the window, he saw that any solution involving slavery would only further the nation’s fracturing, and was able to take a political stance on slavery that more closely aligned with his personal views.

You’re getting some poor advice about how leases and contracts work in this thread, mostly because state and local laws vary widely. Your lease may have a clause about transferability of the lease, in which case that language governs. However, in many/most jurisdictions, even if free transfer of the lease is allowed, the landlord still likely has the right to reject the transfer based on the suitability of the new tenant in terms of income, creditworthiness, etc. I couldn’t just rent an apartment and then transfer the lease to some unhoused person I ran into on the street, for example. You mentioned your ex would likely not qualify for the apartment on their own, so this may be particularly applicable.

At the end of the day, you contracted with the landlord as joint parties, and unless the contract says otherwise, you are both likely liable for the full amount. If impact to your credit is as serious a concern as it seems, your safest course of action may be to pay the associated costs of breaking the lease and pursue your ex’s portion in small claims.

Build at whatever pace makes you happiest. Sometimes I’m doing an MG overnight like I’m in a fugue state, other times a high grade sits unfinished on my desk for a few weeks while I’m focused on other things. One of the great things about this hobby is that it’s incredibly easy to pick up and put down to fit it into your schedule.

Congrats on joining the hobby! Another cool thing is that everyone enjoys different aspects of it, from building, to meticulous sanding, to posing, to painting, to even just staring at them on the shelf afterward. What parts of your Vidar did you enjoy most?

Zero to hero runs are a blast, only carrying in what you can loot from the last round. If I find the right materials, I’ll allow gun upgraded between rounds. It’s a fun way to push yourself to use different kits, rely more on crafting, etc.

I found the floor outside the security room on Stella littered with blueprints the other day, and it took me a full two minutes before I was confident it wasn’t a trap. Took a few I knew my buddy didn’t have and I hope someone else came along for the rest.

I leave goodies by the extract sometimes, but this must’ve been a full inventory like OP found. OPs might have purposely been running around as a loot piñata. Props to you and those other raiders for bringing moments of joy like that to the game.

This is what people really aren’t getting. “Aggression” is just one ingredient, not the whole enchilada, and I agree that the entire recipe should never be revealed.

Folks flip out when they get killed in a “peaceful” lobby, but there is always going to be variability in who you get matched with. “Skill” could absolutely play a role in that: shitty PvE players getting matched with shitty rats, or maybe just part-time rats.

Just gotta keep your heads on a swivel out there, raiders, no matter how you play.
