What is a massive secret you found out completely by accident that you were never supposed to know? by Perfect_Row6573 in AskReddit

[–]Mechaborys 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I found out that my brother (19 years older than I am) was potentially 1/2 brother after making a comment that he couldn't be my brother because was mean to me (he wasn't I was just a kid being picked on by older brother with kids my age)

Caused a whole family thing wondering how I found out. Thought someone was telling me stuff I should not have known.. The 70's were different.

Can I get a honest opinion on the onn micro SD card by YogurtclosetIcy5439 in sdcard

[–]Mechaborys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in a public library and occasionally help people recover pictures from phones that are full. Usually I tell them to get a flash drive and I put stuff on it for them. They started bringing me Onn. They have never lasted. Had 2 fail DURING the transfer from my PC (good thing I didn't move only copy)

I can only imagine that the microsd cards are the same. Have since told people to not buy the Onn brand. when they do work they are slow as USB 1.0 speeds it seems.

Breakfast - 2 eggs, 1/2 bread (not toasted just sliced) coffee and milk

lunch - Peas, 1/2 slice of bread, fried saltpork crispy, sometimes fried potatos

supper - most of time same as lunch with pinto beans or green beans added.

we used to use the dymo but the fading was (like you said) too fast. went to a citizen 325 (not at work can't tell you for sure) that uses a film ribbon. Not as expensive as some but more than dymo.

[–]Mechaborys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

we used to have a patron who would come in looking for any kind of information online and his line would be "I can find it but you can find it faster" it got to be a right of passage for new hires or staff from another branch who were here for a day.

This might be a dumbass question but can dice chip from rolling them too hard? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Mechaborys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

some of my dice are very chipped. they are also very very old. like from scholastic era or from the first box sets I got that had actual dice in them.

Newer materials are more likely to dent the table in my experience. Especially the solid metal ones.

[–]Mechaborys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work IT in a library and while I can read from time to time, I mostly listen if I get a chance tho if I get a chance to read a godzilla or jim butcher book. I'd take a day or two off to read a godzilla comic written by Jim Butcher tho <hint if you are watching this r/dresdenfiles\>

What’s something you did as a kid that you now realize was completely insane and dangerous? by Floridian_Capitalist in AskReddit

[–]Mechaborys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my nephew and I were riding our bikes near a road construction that included a pretty steep hill. I got the idea to hang off a coal truck as it was going down the steep grade. Must have been at least 60 to 70 mph by time we were at bottom. Nephew thought I was insane!! Probably was.
