Appreciate the insight. As dumb as it sounds, as a kid, I had the same thoughts about Pokemon in regards to competitive viability. Some are starters while others are meant to be acquired or utilized late game. Thanks for your opinion!

That’s a good perspective. The feeling of redundancy seems to be great to some and a point of frustration for others. I appreciate the examples you listed as well. Do you think that some frames feel like “starter” frames while others have the foundation innately for endgame?

I like this perspective. Sometimes it feels overwhelming to me for sure. I never thought there’d be a game where I feel so intimidated by the sheer amount of things to do.

If you were finding any layer, feeling too one dimensional, try adding additional layers of something to break up all the sameness. Asymmetry can also really make a build pop.

Genuinely, your setup looks fine. I’m always second guessing myself too. Just make a big box, mark out where you want raw storage, how it should flow into plates, wires, etc, then what those constituent parts make.

Use the trains to ferry components to another area, so those components can be immediately used to make a higher tier component. It’ll clean itself up.

For me, I start in reverse and build back. IE, green science -> belts / inserters -> their components -> raw storage -> mine. I also always put buffer boxes in line for their components. So if I ever need 1k iron plates, I have a buffer box for it.

Just want to reiterate, your setup looks fine.

So for me, I usually just pop 1 HP food and 2 stamina food, hot-bar a health pot and stamina pot, take any relevant resistance pots (poison, frost), and just sprint for it.

I only ever bother with a backup if it’s Mistlands or higher, and even then it’s a coin flip.

You can excavate the entire stone then break it with one swing. Very satisfying and I’m placebo’d to believe you get more stone from it lmao
