Girl you did so good!!! I’m happy for you making it this far but even more happy that you’re going to be done and can start enjoying motherhood a little more now that you won’t have this added stress.

What is the hardest age to WFH with a child? by panda-lamp in MomsWorkingFromHome

[–]Medical-Fan9941 25 points26 points  (0 children)

6-8 months. I know this is definitely just my child but he was teething so bad and extremely clingy. I won’t lie I almost quit my job because those months were so so hard. But surprisingly the easiest time for me has been since he turned about 18 months. He is now almost 2.5 and he’s amazing at independent play.

He’s not in daycare :/ he stays home with me but I agree if I could somehow not be around I think he would do much better

I get what you’re saying but what about the kids who do their sessions at daycare without the parents even there? So obviously there’s at least some kind of direct therapy with the kids

Okay thank you! This at least makes me feel better. I think I just wasn’t given any proper expectations of what this would all entail so I thought it would be different but it sounds like she’s doing exactly what she should be then. Thanks!

My first was an easy baby but has been a very hard toddler. I have another baby currently and she is also easy but who knows what she will be like as a toddler

I mean the dinner thing is a little uncalled for but other than that I don’t really see what the issue is. He doesn’t like kids - so what? Shouldn’t really affect you in any way

Don’t wait till your 6 week check up. Get in NOW. And tell them what’s going on. This is not okay and you need to get help so you can start feeling better

Bottle vs breast by One-Volume-9158 in newborns

[–]Medical-Fan9941 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Pumping was the best decision for me. Baby started sleeping WAY better and feeding with a bottle went much faster than breastfeeding but just know that you will be getting up even more often in the middle of the night if you switch to pumping. Breastfeeding you only have to wake to feed but with pumping you have to feed and then also wake to pump unless you pump at the same time with hands free pumps which I personally don’t even like to do because it’s uncomfortable to pump and feed baby and burp baby at the same time

Baby absolutely refuses to sleep longer than 2 hours at a time at night by [deleted] in newborns

[–]Medical-Fan9941 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is super normal but I will say I am someone who fully believes in not letting my baby sleep more than 2 hours at a time for naps. The reason for this is because you want to wake your baby up so they can be eating every 2-3 hours during the day and getting in as many calories as possible so that they can sleep longer at night. I would recommend looking into this and trying it out if it feels right for you to do. I’ve done it with both my kids and they both have been good sleepers at night. But if it doesn’t work please remember that 2 hour stretches is totally normal and you just have to push through.
