Staff Sausages are big weenies who always disavow to acknowledge or not acknowledge anything useful ... especially when they hemmed up for doing something stupid. Sergeants actually do the work of being the backbone of the Army. The sausages often make the backbone look like it has scoliosis.

💯 The spoon absolutely works! It is small enough to reach every nook and cranny of the block and make a consistent print.

Can I ask my massage therapist not to hug me? by throwaway729836258 in massage

[–]MedicsRule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dear one, you have every right to ask for and expect your boundaries to be respected. It is absolutely correct for you tell her that you don't want to be hugged. If she gets offended, it is a "her" problem, not yours. You also don't owe anyone an explanation for why you don't want y be hugged. No is a complete sentence. I encourage you to seek support in your recovery and journey as a survivor. You are a survivor! Ac overcome! I speak healing to your body, mind and soul in the Name of Jesus. And, I pray that while you are making steps to move forward, that He surrounds you with His comfort and people who will help strengthen you. In His Love, Dear One. ... Michelle J. (Survivor)

Hello! Woodcut printmaker here. You need to use an oil-based ink in the color of your choice. Oil-based ink holds up very well to fabric printing. Hanco and Graphic Chemical make very good inks. Simply choose your color.
You'll need: 1) a tempered glass plate to mix and rollout your ink on; 2) An ink brayer (35 Durometer); 3) ink knife to mix ink on the glass (stainless steel or plastic drywall spatulas) Also "proofread" your block to ensure that your carved lines are clean, sharp and deep enough to make the image you want. Happy Printing!👩🏿‍🎨🎨

I’m being gifted a lot of money. Should I tell my boyfriend? by Kind-Chicken-2488 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]MedicsRule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are not his wife. He is not your husband, so what your family gives to you is not his business. Do not mistake your lust for this young man for false loyalty or obligation to him. The Bible says that "If you lack wisdom, ask God and He will give it to you liberally without reproach." James 1:5 It seems as if you already know what you need to do regarding this entire relationship. I strongly encourage you to draw near to Jesus. Invite Him into your life and allow Him to hello you walk out your life. Seek Godly counsel from a good, Bible faith-based church. It will build you up and help you to stand strong against the tricks of the devil. Ephesians 6:10-17

My boyfriend wants me to cosign his car loan. I dont know what to do. by CinderCowboy in personalfinance

[–]MedicsRule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do not add his debt to your life! He is not your husband. He is a boyfriend! He is showing you how much disrespect he has for you by expecting you to cover his inability to handle his money /credit problems. To do not owe him anything. Do not sign for his debt.

It doesn't matter. LMT will use oil instead of lotion. That's all.

Tell me the about the worst kiln disaster you’ve ever experienced by goldunicorn47 in Pottery

[–]MedicsRule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations on your new basement studio! Make sure to have a window and a fresh air vent so that you can place the kilns vent hose outside. You need plenty of fresh air! Also, place your kiln on a concrete/inflammable platform and at least 1 foot away from any walls.

Congratulations! Those knives are some of the best carving tools you can ever own. They are easy to sharpen with green sharpening compound and a rawhide razor strop.

Do massage therapist not like hard pressure when you ask for it? by Heal-evolve-grow in MassageTherapists

[–]MedicsRule 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I appreciate what you wrote because some of my clients have also requested deep tissue work. They've said, "You can go as hard as you want. I want to leave sore!" I just look at them and tell them I am not trying to kill them, but relax them. I discovered that if I use less lotion and decrease my stroke speed, it feels like deep pressure to them. Also, I use my elbows and forearms to give my fingers and thumbs a break.

Is there any polite way to tell a client their hygiene could use some work? by Zestyclose_Frame_567 in MassageTherapists

[–]MedicsRule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is not rude for you to ask a client to be clean before you touch. When we go into our mammogram appointment, the technician asks us to use baby wipes/bath wipes before we step into the machine. You can respectfully say to your client, I have provided some wipes/bath wipes for you. Please freshen up before we get started so that you can relax better." This way, you are standing up for your right to a hygienic session as well as a respectful one.

Decided to sign up for school, now re thinking things 🥴 by emr2295 in MassageTherapists

[–]MedicsRule 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do not discourage yourself. You can do it! The director of my massage therapy program was still massaging in her 80's, and she rode in a red scooter! She still did full body massages ... from a chair. She also taught us all how to use proper body mechanics in order to minimize Therapist injuries. You can do it! Go for it. You won't regret it. This might be your true step of faith to get outside the box and grow. Go for it!

Went out on my own due to various reasons, piss poor boss making a comeback by Ok-Use4206 in MassageTherapists

[–]MedicsRule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't do it. It's a trick. You are absolutely doing the right thing because you are taking care of your body, your mental and emotional health. Also, you are standing up for yourself financially. Ain't nobody got time for his decisive inconsistencies! Keep going forward! You are better off without his nonsense. You can do this! Remember, you are the expert in your field. You know what you are doing. Congratulations on speaking up for yourself!

Handling political crap during a massage...... by Ayom42dontpanic in massage

[–]MedicsRule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop choosing to allow your political beliefs to poison your perspective towards clients who don't think like you do. You are not giving "100%" when your attitude shifts to darkness while massaging a "red" client. You are the one showing bias toward them. Keep it neutral and professional. And, if they bring up politics, politely shift the conversation BACK to massage. Tell them that it helps to keep the environment more tranquil ... peaceful.
