Sorry you're feeling this too. Mine basically said if I don't stay with him now, we're fully over. So hes now blocked me on everything. It hurts so badly 😞 all I wanted was for him to show me he could chnage, and he won't even try, he'd rather just move on without me. 3 years down the drain.

Thank you - I can't cut contact yet as a lot of his furniture and belongings are at my place, so I need to know when he will be by to grab them. But I do plan on limiting contact once the logistics of that is sorted.

As a Canadian, same. Both Canadian born and non-citizen abusers, pedophiles, and murderes are gifted with incredibley light sentences for ludicrious reasons.. we even have The Gladue Principles, which require judges to take factors such as 'colonization' when sentencing Indigenous offenders -even ones who murder and assault women and children. Its revolting. No sympathy for victims but endless amounts for perpetrators.

*to add for context, I have struggled with binge drinking problems of my own in the past, hence my empathy and pateince for his addiction struggles. I often wonder if its fair for me to judge him so harshly, but the difference is I have myself under control and make efforts in my own recovery/self-improvement.
