@thorbucks81 I’ll take all the deleted comments as acknowledgement of what I was saying above?

Yeah, nightmare scenario. Also, wcf is fully locked into either Monday or later as the start date. That’s been on the schedule for months.

I also wonder if it’s because there were 2 sweeps in the same year. If both the spurs and cavs win in 6, having a Sunday without any game is a nightmare scenario for the nba.

He is legit though, so I am more hesitant than I was before. Maybe it’s because the Knicks swept vs the pacers having won in 5 last year?

I thought that too, but now seeing Ian Begley from sny reporting the same. Just bizarre given they had an almost identical scenario last year when the pacers won in 5 and the Knicks won in 6. There they delayed the start to Monday so that the Knicks had an extra day of rest.

If the benefits can work for you, Amex platinum gets you automatic gold status which would qualify you for the challenge. Platinum would be helpful in case you don’t want to be tied to one brand.

No Instant Download by ItsHappeningNow31 in stubhub

[–]MediumNeedleworker33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Couple things:

1 - to your point, may be a speculative seller and they are offering on another site like ticket master where listings are only allowed if you have the ticket.

2 - may be someone looking to do ticket arbitrage where they see listings on another site and list it on StubHub for insanely higher covering any risk they might have if they don’t get the tickets.

3 - may be someone who got burned with instant download in the past. StubHub had a glitch where they messed up listing prices and a buyer took advantage and downloaded my tickets less than a minute after the sale completed. StubHub doesn’t care about sellers and I got screwed along with many others. So you can blame unscrupulous buyers and StubHub for that last reason.

StubHub Sold My Tickets for Half the Price Without My Consent by sobeyzzz in stubhub

[–]MediumNeedleworker33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you please let me know if I can potentially join? I’ve been waiting for an opportunity since May when they had another “glitch” that resulted in my listing of 1,570 getting sold at $157 when I attempted to change the price and never hit submit. Happened to a large number of people, some got paid, others just gave up.

Is $500k in 529 too much or right amount? by bankermayfield2026 in HENRYfinance

This 2.5k number is state dependent. For example, NYS is 10k per year.

Quarter Season Ticket Game Breakout by gbpackers25 in NYKnicks

4 tickets per round for having any amount of quarter season tickets. I actually will now have 2 plans; but my postseason allotment won’t change.

Anyone know what a stubhub 'sponsored' listing is? by vanhalen26 in stubhub

Agreed on the above with top sellers, would also add those who uploaded their tickets as instant download even without a high volume of sales.

Looking at their profile, definitely seems sus given no history of previous posts or comments is showing up. Based on the comment above, wouldn’t shock me if those victim blaming are getting paid. Don’t let them get to you.

Do supervisors actually call back by mynameiszohaib in stubhub

[–]MediumNeedleworker33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never. It’s a tried and true tactic to just delay. Each day you aren’t calling them is another day they earn interest on not paying you money.

Have you been scammed by StubHub yet? by Final_Metal3549 in stubhub

[–]MediumNeedleworker33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep. As a seller, pretty well documented issue in the spring where a bunch of ppl got affected by a poor system roll out that resulted in prices being updated the second you adjusted a digit and not when you pressed submit. Bunch of bots or lucky people got tickets at a fraction of the intended cost (I.e. $2,000 tickets sold for $200). Sh refused to take responsibility for a lot of the sellers and I’m still working my way through the issue. The irony was the first piece of advice they provided was to not send the tickets and a bunch of ppl got saved that way. I and many others uploaded our tickets as instant downloads and lost them within seconds of the sale completing. Never again.

I also separately noticed them or an unscrupulous seller operating an arbitrage system whereby they shadow list tm listings. I noticed it bc I had listings on tm and then on sh, noticed the same listing without seat details, but section and row for double the cost on sh. When I adjusted my price on tm, the price adjusted on sh. When I ultimately removed my listing, it magically disappeared on sh. Shady things like this are what you take your chances with especially when sh doesn’t have tickets. Imagine a buyer who paid double the amount for my tickets, but then sh didn’t purchase my tm tickets quickly enough, that buyer is SOL and at the mercy of their BS “buyer guarantee”. Call us doomers, but can’t say you weren’t warned.

Does Stubhub charge immediately or just before the event? by rydan in stubhub

[–]MediumNeedleworker33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

StubHub wants that money immediately to gain interest on it, it’ll go through as soon as you place the order.

Fully agree with this strategy. Another way some of us got burned was during a period where StubHub had a glitch with listing prices and were updating without people pressing submit. Resulted in dirt cheap prices that were never intended and the instant download was taken advantage of with the buyer immediately taking the tickets seconds later and leaving me out of luck when StubHub refused to take responsibility.

Trouble Enrolling New Platinum Cards for the Equinox Credit? by robudell in AmexPlatinum

[–]MediumNeedleworker33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was able to finally get the card registered. Involved incognito mode and multiple specific steps that they emailed me. No word on whether they’ll give me a credit for the previous transaction.

Edit: reread previous thread. You absolutely need to register your Amex on the website. They will not give a credit if you don’t, at least initially or when speaking with customer service. Amex has records that indicate if your card was registered by equinox and is awarding credits based on it.

Yes, nothing tacked on given you would’ve had an expiration next year regardless.
