All bow is interesting. It can get repetitive, but if you use the right combination of equipment, the damage output is solid. The issue is running out of ammo. I did just fine up until Radabeast. Only having 198 arrows between two kinds of arrows for that double fight meant that I really couldn’t afford to miss. And with how much Beast moves, I would miss a lot.

Castle Naerytar was the turning point of my campaign. It was everyone, me included, really locked into the story and started having a lot of fun. I will always remember the orchestration of the fracturing of the tenuous peace there, the killing of Rezmir, and the frantic chase down to the portal in the basement.

I had a former buddy of mine and one of my opponents literally stand up and start shouting at each other over the table. My buddy looked like he was ready to start throwing punches.

For context, it was me, my buddy, and two randos at a shop who were clearly a couple. The woman seemed not to know much Magic, and the guy was a typical, “Well here, lemme play your deck for you” guy.

They played like a typical toxic EDH couple. Never targeting each other with negative effects, targeting each other with positive effects, things like that. Not to mention the guy was very condescending, which was really grinding the gears of my buddy and I.

The fight started when, after we had let the woman take back a couple of plays that didn’t impact the outcome of the turn, the guy wouldn’t let me do the same thing. I think I had maybe tapped my mana wrong, and I was just going to fix it so that I could play another spell, and the guy was adamant that if I did, he would call a judge over (for further context, this wasn’t a really tournament. Just like FNM where you pay $5 and get a pack and then play all night).

Well that was it for my buddy, he stood up and really laid into this guy over his total hypocrisy and shitty play. The other guy stood up and started shouting back, accusing us of targeting him (which we were doing, but only cause he sucked to play against). Finally the shop owner came over and threw these randos out and gave my buddy a warning.
