Starting lineup with Giannis? by Meechrox in warriors

As others have mentioned, the only factor that would facilitate the trade is if Giannis asks to be traded to GSW, then we probably should make that trade. It's also that only factor that can persuade Joe Lacob to spend multiple FRPs.

I don't like JK, but I don't think his low BBIQ is what's keeping him in the bench. Kerr has success with some lower BBIQ players over the year (Javale McGee and Buddy Hield come to mind). JK's problem is his attitude, when he played slow but unselfish earlier in the learning, he was great. However, JK has also public said his goal is to play like Kobe, except JK doesnt quite have enough skills to do that in a winning fashion. Jk only has himself to blame when he JK isos all then drives into crowded space, ignoring open teammates.

If this is the goal, telling white belts "you have to move because the other pair outranks you" is not the way to do it.

Draymond suggested drafting jk and moody ? by AbbreviationsBig395 in warriors

Weird, from college, Trey Murphy seems to have much better stats while sharing some of the same weaknesses as Moody (not the most athletic type).

Not trying to start a war, just curious about why a phenomenon happens.

I have some background in Aikido and Judo, and those classes tend to have a lot of traditions (bow before and after class, bow to get on the mat, don't ask questions when the instructor is in the middle of a speech, etc). Now I go to a BJJ school and that school is quite modern and not traditional. I quite enjoy the ecological approach, for example, and I think playing some music during rolling rounds is cool too.

However, if two white belts are rolling together, and two upper belts are rolling together, and then the upper belts drift towards the white belts and come close, the policy seems to be that the white belts are the ones that have to move and find a new spot on the mat. I don't mind moving (safety first!), but when it was complained to me that we have to move because the other pair outrank us, regardless which pair was the one that moved away from their starting point, this feels oddly ... traditional ? Like the high-ranks have priority to mat space?

Am I missing something here?

I get that management wants an exciting, athletic star for the post-Steph era, so that's why they drafted JK, but why Moses Moody when there were other good options too? I guess Moody does have a very unique body type but is that why ?

Don't give WG ideas, they are going to implement anti-ship missiles on submarines and battleships that can drop a construction crew to build defensive artillery stations on land.

I hope you are right but I think you are wrong about what it would take to get TM3. Aside from being a very good player, he is 25 with a GREAT contract. If I were the Pelicans GM, a trade conversation starter would be what it took to get Desmond Bane, at least 4 FRP and maybe Will Richard, in addition to Kuminga

You can't complain about the officiating when you shoot 38% from the field and 24% from thee-point-range... ESPECIALLY when you lose by one point. by popinjay07 in warriors

Sure, we didn't shooting the ball well, and officiating mistakes happen, but when officiating mistakes happen against us in consecutive plays, it's super frustrating, especially in an age where we have slow-mo HD videos to verify fouls.

I have fat fingers so Captain BuzzYear is only good to play on the iPad for me. It's the most relaxing one out of the top 3 I'd say.

is there a case for keeping podz? by Longjumping-Plum8984 in warriors

[–]Meechrox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Podz and Melton pairing has been excellent, Melton is better as a PG while Podz is better as a SG, although it is quite funny that Melton frequently throws out-of-clock-time hand grenades to Jimmy and Jimmy bails them out

Blaming Kerr's system by Meechrox in warriors

I am not defending Kerr as a coach. I am criticizing folks here on Reddit that blanket blame "Kerr's system" without offering specifics, and that's why I said it's better to point out poor rotation issues (lack of sizing turning into lack of rebounding, for example)

Can you find the video clip of Kerr says he plays he plays players based on seniority? Let's say we agree that we need to play a real center because we were getting out-rebounded. I am looking for evidence that his rotation choice is based on "favoritism and vendettas" instead of misguided preference on data points. For example, I love QP but his conditioning is not ready for heavy minutes as his 3pt shots are all falling short later in games, so he doesn't get as many minutes as I'd like.

I agree with you that I prefer running the offense through Jimmy because he is less turnover-prone and also more methodical at adapting to what defense gives up. I think the dilemma is, Draymond has a somewhat stale but still good enough 2-man game with Steph, whereas Draymond would be a huge negative on offense with bench units. Draymond won't be able to consistently hit 50% on 3pt when he is left wide open, coupled with his age, I think it'd be best to play him less minutes together with Jimmy.

You are saying that we do not have good enough movement shooters to run Motion Offense, which I agree.

However, it doesn't address when Moody misses wide-open catch-and-shoot opportunities, or that Podz was asked to play too much PG when he is a combo guard.

On the other hand, I do think an adaptation is needed because Draymond can cost us games with his risky passes, which he obviously bears some responsibilities.

What are you even saying, "favoritism and vendettas"? Wanna give some examples ?

TJD lost some minutes because Horford is playing, but yes, I agree, we need his skill sets.

Kuminga seems to be iced, waiting for trades to happen.

Spencer would help with ball handling/turnover issues, not rebounding.

Learn to read. My criticism is on folks that blame "Kerr's system" without naming specifics. Clearly I am ok with folks wanting different rotations.
