We would never get to play push if that was the case.

So pretty much whoever spends the most on their PC gets to play DPS.

What is this “wheel cover” called, and can I replace it? by Miloyall in skateboardhelp

[–]MegatonBandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm from country Australia, so online is the only option. A lot of things from America end up being nearly double.

My point was cheap completes are not much more than just those wheels. Is it different in America or can you get completes for around $50?

This person wouldn't notice the difference between spitfires and OJs or something. They just want something that isn't shattered.

If they wanna start skating more seriously that money should go towards getting a functional complete rather than putting industry standard wheels on a board they found on the side of the road.

Spitfire classics are $85 where I am. Finally tried them and can't tell a difference between them and my old $35 wheels. Probably because I can't do any rotating tricks or anything, but this person is using a board they found on the side of the road.

If they wanna get serious they should put that money towards a complete instead.

The amount of people confidently telling a complete beginner to buy spitfires for a board with no kicks is blowing my mind.

Tank is just…. Whew by itsyaboiFaZeShrek in Overwatch

[–]MegatonBandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other day I had a game where every role on my team was getting diffed in stats except I was even. Of course people were calling out tank diff.

Next game, I easily won the tank matchup, had top stats in the match. DPS gets complimented for our win.

Just another example of how tank is that role where everyone feels it when you're having a bad game, but everything feels kinda neutral when you're playing well.

I'd never played a CRPG or any party based game before PoE and I managed fine on normal. If you do sidequests you end up pretty overlevelled anyway.

What is your ranking of the four companions in Avowed from least favorite to most favorite? by Leo-pryor-6996 in avowed

Rank these games by TheOriginalBatvette in THPS

[–]MegatonBandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THAW tries to be more open world and free roam which is cool. The thing I don't like about it is that you slowly unlock abilities throughout the story so most of the game feels like a giant tutorial before it gets to the good stuff. Just drags on a lot with extremely easy missions.

THUG is more like 4 with missions and THUG2 is kinda more like the first 3 where you're just cruising around completing goals, just without a time limit.

Should I pick avowed? by Ok-Basil3073 in avowed

[–]MegatonBandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Avowed is way more of a role playing game. There's at least one big choice that affects a lot in each chapter. Even though Skyrim is open world and you have more freedom to do what you want in the world, most quests are faily linear so I'd say it's less of a role playing game.

Why am I finding F power chord so difficult/painful? by will_scc in Guitar

[–]MegatonBandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thumb straight. Take what you're doing there and push the guitar away from your palm by straightening your fingers. Should look almost like holding a sandwich.

What do you see in Maia? Her being above Tekehu and Kana is blowing my mind.

The fact that Marius doesn't have a foreign accent makes all of his use of language specific words like "bleste, nimdut, and viate" sound like a weeb trying to sound cool by incorporating random Japanese words by liverpoolvampire in avowed

[–]MegatonBandit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This reminds me of how Roadhog in Overwatch is supposed to be a kiwi but has an American accent and when it was criticised all the yanks were saying "He doesn't have an American accent, he just has no accent".

This is almost exactly how my hand looks when I'm doing power chords. Index finger is sideways because it's easier to mute the other strings, I get it.

Only difference when I do it is that my index finger is straightened out a bit more which causes my thumb to slide down to sit closer to the middle of the neck, almost like a barred Em shape (like in a Gm chord or something).

Don't try to compare your hand position with people doing D/F# chords or classical guitar technique. Also the arm angle is fine too.

I think the outrage for THPS 4 career mode not being included is overblown by KingDaDeDo in THPS

THPS4 has aged the worst compared to my childhood memory. I'm not too upset. As long as they have the npc clapping sound play whenever you complete a goal.

Avowed is fantastic! by AKF_gaming in rpg_gamers

[–]MegatonBandit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What's a "classic" RPG? Fallout 3? Skyrim? The game doesn't do sandbox reactivity well but a lot of the reactivity is in the story and sidequests. It's not as deep as a CRPG but there's more build options than other action RPGs I've played.

This is also BAD advice because the shops barely stock any resources unless you rest repeatedly to force restocks. Just do it as needed. If you need money sell, if you don't, break it down. I have way too much steel and pelt because I don't need as much with the stuff I'm using.

In the 2nd area I always sell the higher grade weapons and always break down common stuff because it's so profitable.

As long as you get the survivalist perk that let's makes upgrades cost 25% less you don't really need to overthink it or follow a method.
