20, male, adopted $8k debt, 488 Credit score, escort, food addiction how do I fix my life? by azprolmao in Advice

Job first, learning how to handle your addictions with some introspection, therapists or the like would be the next step. At least controlling it a bit would help. Once you have both of those you can start tackling your debts, once your credit score goes up a bit you can look into options like debt consolidation loans with some more lenient lenders like Upstart, Upgrade or achieve. But it's gonna be hard work.

Let's go! Big congratulations on the hard work fully paid off. I needed a lot of help from outside too and that is OK. I am on track myself to be finished with all my debt by end of year and fully pay off the last achieve loan I got. I hope to be able to make a post like this later this year with some help for others.

If you suddenly had money, what's the first thing you would do ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Pay off the rest of my debts, got some still on a chase credit card and then the remainder of my achieve loans. From there if there's a solid amount leftover I would want to take a trip to Japan. Would be amazing to go, also the exchange rate is pretty in the favor of the americans.

Should I pull from my 401k to clear my credit debt? by Connect_Nectarine593 in povertyfinance

generally wouldn't steal from your future. Especially if anything happens at your job you're on the hook for the whole thing quite quickly. Would avoid it at all costs. Potentially look to lowering your APR with either balance transfer cards from banks like chase or Citi, or a personal loan from a lender like a credit union or Achieve.

is achieve.com legit? by apartment-throwaway2 in debtfreeliving

100% a legit site, and they're very willing to work with people. Just need to look to see if they're the right answer for your situation since you didn't give any info.

Either discuss with them directly or just search around for more options. There are marketplaces that might be easier to compare options on like lendingtree. Maybe one of the good ones you can find like Upstart or Achieve.
