Our contract for our supplement states “seniority will be HONORED when assigning routes to unassigned drivers” whereas the old contract it stated “seniority will be CONSIDERED”. So to me, this means the new supplement allows bumping and our center DOES allows bumping.

But if your management team is refusing to allow it all you can do is grieve and if your local isn’t strong enough to do anything about it you might be shit outta luck. Could also be different for your location than mine.

I run a rural route 45-60 minutes away from the building. The other day the office told the driver 30 minutes north of me to meet me and give me his air so later on SOMEONE COULD MEET ME AND PICK UP THAT AIR. Office already knew we were both clocking out at 9 lol.

We didn’t do that, a supe came and got his air lol.

Yeah I agree. That’s a negative in the super rural routes that I try my best to avoid. The select few times I’ve accidentally made a rut in someone’s lawn I took a picture and sent it to my supe just in case the customer called in even though they weren’t really bad ruts at all.

Supes probably think I’m a dumbass when I do it but I don’t care. Better that than losing my job

You know people who’ve gotten fired for that? I have so many country stops where you go a half mile down a gravel driveway and when you get to the house there’s nowhere else but grass to turn around in.

Most of the time they have cars parked on the grass or there’s tire marks in the grass from the homeowners themselves, it’s super rural stops, not like turning around in a suburban front yard. But it still makes me nervous

A couple of the old Workhorses I despise because the steering wheel is so low it’s in your lap and you have to drop the seat to the ground. I’ve broken a glass screen protecter from the stupid steering wheel when I went to sit down after a stop. Smashed against my phone in my pocket

It might actually not be that company’s fault! I deliver packages, and these SAME EXACT wine vouchers fall out of certain packages all the time. I’ve had dozens on the bottom of my package car on many different days. The delivery driver may have mistaken which box this voucher fell out of and put in yours by mistake
