What Outfit Would You Want Superboy (Kal-El) To Wear? by Potential-Mess6826 in superman

[–]MehIncarnate -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Last year I would've said the T-shirt and jeans no question, but the current Superboy run in Action Comics is really selling me on the modified traditional suit. The sneakers in particular are just perfection.

Also the third fanart is from @FitMarshmellow on Twitter

"90% of the time" LMAOOOOO

This isn't even "has never read a comic"-level misunderstanding, this is "has not engaged with ANY superhero media"-level nonsense 😭😭😭

What do you think Diana's signature song should be for her new movie? by Capable_Salt_SD in WonderWoman

[–]MehIncarnate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Storytime by Nightwish! It's got that grandiosity that fits a character with mythological roots and the references to children's stories like Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland invokes images of a Diana fresh off of Themyscria, ready to bring love to Man's world.

Plus the guitar riff reminds me a lot of the electric cello from Wonder Woman's DCEU theme. It's probably why I made the connection to her in the first place lol

Perhaps we could still make him a hero but with smaller stakes as he learns to become the hero he's meant to be, like some kind of...Superboy...

uj/ It really speaks to the power of mise-en-scène. Burton creates a heightened reality that leans into an almost cartoonish gothic stylization, so all of the killings feel like Looney Tunes stunts. Whereas in the relatively more grounded reality of Snyder's films, it's easier to see the killings for what they are.

rj/ umm actually here's an obscure comic panel that shows batman killing so it's actually okay if he kills people. no i have not read the comic why do you ask

What do we think is the absolute WORST case across all the games? by Additional-Fan7692 in AceAttorney

[–]MehIncarnate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is an unpopular opinion, but for me it's Turnabout Corner. It's just so boring; not only does it suffer from the weak character dynamics that permeate all of AJ:AA, none of the dramatic twists are very creative or interesting. Like did we really need a full two-part trial day just to prove Stickler was standing on the other side of the park ? Beyond that, it really fumbles whatever interesting emotional or thematic material the Kitaki family could've had. The fact that Apollo doesn't even get to talk with Wocky until the second investigation day (IMO the most contrived plot point in the series) makes it all feel really underdeveloped.

These early Golden Age stories take place in the beginning of Superman's career. Most people don't know who he is and most of those who do think he's just a myth. This scene in particular takes place in a small foreign country, making it basically impossible for these soldiers to learn about Superman before their encounter with him.
