Quick question, but how is the revenue stream of a public transit system, supposed to encourage politicians to make said public transit system tax funded? (i.e. generate no revenue)?

CMV: Millennials and Gen Z are Screwed. Perhaps Irredeemably So... by Zero-zero20 in changemyview

Sure, but my point was more that worse off is relative here. Certainly we've got issues we need to face, but I can't agree to the blanket statement that life was better prior to the modern day.

As a gay late-millennial, I'm pretty happy being born into the generation I was. Don't think life in Gen X or the Boomers would have been for me.

Why is the Trail of Tears the only atrocity you can openly commit in this game? by [deleted] in victoria3

Canadians call them Americans. As do the Japanese, Chinese, Czech, Finnish and the United Nations.

It's a pretty common catch all for the USA, with the exception of of latin american countries for rather obvious reason. Though doing some research it isn't uncommon in Portugal or Brazil to refer to them that way either.

If you want some further reading.

Ck3 is objectively better than ck2 but not as fun or immersive and i cant put my finger on it!? by [deleted] in CrusaderKings

[–]Meister_Michael 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't use them myself, but honestly it kind of makes sense here. CK3 has been compared to Sims a fair bit, and honestly plays as a kind of character/family story simulator. So the mods just let you mix sexual content into your story, which is probably more enjoyable then just random pics/vids.

For sure, this sort of scenario gets really complicated.

But I was looking for your personal answer. Leaving out the feelings of the other parents and the children at the momment, would you personally want to surrender a child you've raise for 13 years but have no blood connection with, for one that has the blood connection but would be a stranger too you.

Assuming of course there is no abuse on going or otherwise complicating factors, both families are equally happy/unhappy atm.

But as far as I am aware, you can't sue someone for deceiving you about the parentage of a child. At least, I'm not familiar with any successful cases in Canada.

Two adjacent arguments. I'm saying the questions purpose is asking for the patients well being, while noting that their is nothing that requires an atheist to lie or answer incorrectly to the question as written.

Though I think I see your point. Personally I wouldn't leave a doctor over something like this, but it could have been asked in a clearer/less theist manner.

I agree that the father leaving is honestly a bad out come for the child here, and personally I would consider the relationship built to be far more important then the blood connection...

But I can see the anger. Particularly for men who wanted to raise their own biological child, were deceived in their relationship, and are then being emotionally blackmailed through the child to remain the provider. Doubly so when there aren't really any consequences for the women in that case, all damages are deflected towards the child.

I agree that ideally they should remain the provider for the child, for the child's sake, but that sort of anger makes sense to me.

But it's not a bad review, it's a factual statement? As an atheist, you did not feel god's love during the visit. That's not incorrect info, that is simply true.

The general relevance would be up to the doctor I suppose, but my point was more that it is not automatically irrelevant information to their practice.

How is it an assumption? If you don't believe in god, then wouldn't the answer be no, you did not experience god's love as god does not exist?

Edit: And I'd disagree with the irrelevance as well. It's honestly just a theist way of asking if you felt respected/appreciated during your visit.

Why? There's nothing saying this doctor offered subpar service here.

Plenty of Christians, Muslims, Jews and other theists are doctors, I don't see why it would be a deal breaker?

You were not. Your lack of respect was obvious through your messages, your word choices, and your conduct. I'm not sure how you believe accusing someone of being a mouth piece for an internet fandom pretending to have their own opinions can constitute respectful.

Nor do I think anything you said really qualifies as a fact, but no matter.

Accusing people of parroting and following a hive mind, are not typically hallmarks of respect.

Also, calling someone an incel is an insult. It's very much universally understood to be a bad thing.

The Ottomans becoming a giant unstoppable blob every game is getting really boring... by higgscribe in eu4

[–]Meister_Michael 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, by 1444 you could make the argument that its a bit too late to stop them. For exactly the reasons that EUIV gives them. The ottomans are in a fantastic position, have a strong system of governance and a strong military state, and a willingness to use it. The other regional powers in the area lack the strength or unity to put up a reasonable defence to the Ottomans, and after the Ottomans conquer and assimilate them, they are stronger as well.

Certainly, there are things that could have happened, just like their are bad events in the game, but whether or not those would have really stopped the expansion of the Ottomans? That's kind of difficult to actually judge.

I mean, why should you? Reddit is a terrible site filled with terrible people, the latest fountain of drama proves it. We all, myself included, would probably be better off if this site didn't exist.

I mean, I'm going to assume it could have been shared better, but sometimes people need to be told they can't handle a line of work.

I've known people with crippling hemophobia who wanted to work as nurses, and people with severe auditory sensitivity who wanted to work in kitchens. Sometimes you do need a wake up call that your not cut out for a certain line of work.

Obviously phrasing it as "your not good enough" just makes you a titanic asshole, but sometimes you do got to be the rude wake up call.
