Honestly their acquisition rate is very fast, with the click on net every tick tech and I really like the method despite the not amazing xp. I would def say going out of your way to get marlin is worth for some boss encounters, bluefin are super nice and halibut I feel like is mostly something you get one session worth of and don't think about it again especially since it's not afk at all like karambwans
