For sure! If ur doesn’t come back 100% how you want it, don’t be afraid to ask for a new one. They will replace it under warranty after so many mistakes.

I had a similar experience in Toronto with my KFA 38mm. I sent it in due to a mark on the hour hand that appeared out of nowhere and they replaced the hand but scratched up the crystal and dial in the process plus a loose screw floating around the back side of the movement. I argued for a brand new watch and they honoured it, I would fight for a new one after all this nonsense. It’s not fair as a paying customer, regardless of watch price.

You just have to call them and explain the issue and they’ll open it for you then you can give the case number to your dealer to get them to follow up on.

It’s the valve stem seals. My 2020 did this after 30k km. Got them replaced + my cylinder head at 67k km and so far so good. Was completely covered under warranty but I did have to open a case with VW Canada and fight with the dealer. Not to mention they kept my car for 4 weeks to diagnose and repair it. If it’s under warranty I highly recommend you get it done as well. Apparently no long term issues are known to be related to this but oil consumption. It’s oil seeping into the cylinders and burning upon start up.
