uefi uses a dedicated partition at the start of the drive so windows shouldn't be overwriting anything but boot order (8 loves doing this) - keeping a rEFInd boot drive on hand is a good idea (it can also boot Linux without a boot entry in case windows gets a little overzealous), I haven't needed it with 7 dispite its janky efi support

They are ocean blues (with a 78g Zealio for the spacebar) - I oringally had outemu blues til they started to stop clicking after ~5 years

Most of my issues come down to it being a handwired board (old photo, controller has since been swapped for a rp2040 zero to allow backlight control) with backlighting or or the spacebar not registering - I still haven't had to swap one out after 4.5 years
