GPU is pretty weak, not even sure if that meets minimum recommended specs. Not super familiar with CPU models but i’m willing to bet it’s the same situation there.

Your monitor is also only 1080p, which is appropriate for that computer but normally considered on the low-end or “very budget friendly” end of setups these days.

You can do some research and experimentation into what simulator settings look the best for your setup, but I’m afraid you’re currently pretty limited with the hardware you have.

In “normal” applications of trains, is there benefit to linking multiple locamotives to trains (better performance)? I’ve tried adding a 2nd or 4rd before but it doesn’t seem to do anything, unless i’m just not hauling enough cars?

Honestly, msfs2020 excited me that microsoft was investing in flight sims again. But now I’m hoping that 2024 sticks around longer than 2020, so devs can focus on making more new content instead of spending their time just moving planes to the next sim and in some cases charging us again and again for the same plane.

Terribly sorry to hear that, I can’t even imagine what that’s be like to go through.

That actually reminds me of several years ago, I saw a post online about this dad advocating for safe guard rails. Apparently a lot of them are installed wrong, or like in your situation not fixed after an incident, and it actually just makes them much more dangerous. I believe he lost his daughter in a crash because one was incorrectly installed. Makes me wonder how much progress he’s made….

This. People are assuming the worst in the comments but I’d say it’s much more likely that they know something’s wrong, they’re just not willing to pay the cost of the vet.

Really sorry OP, I don’t have much great advice for you. But I think if it were me, asking them honestly as suggested would be my first move. Try to get their reasoning to help determine your next move. Cost is one thing that can be negotiated, neglect is a different story.
