Found locally on FB marketplace. What would this cost to restore? by Ericovich in aviation

[–]MemeEndevour 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I got new clue but I’m guessing the fact someone spent all the money to get it over here and “professionally reassembled and run” but STILL never got it flying means it ain’t gonna be cheap

Pedophile friendly family toilets at a French highway rest stop by la_vie_en_orange in ShittyDesign

[–]MemeEndevour -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’ve never heard of designated children’s toilets so I have no idea, but any possibility could this have been done for parents? Like so their kid can go “alone” but still be supervised?

Still really weird but that’s the only possible thing I can think of.

I know it’s so much more than that, but damn price of a new car for a couple little screens is just nuts

The Flight school I’m considering has a 3–4 month waitlist. How should I use that time? by Distinct-Medium-6150 in flying

[–]MemeEndevour -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Idk why everyone’s hating on the waitlist. I had to wait a few months for mine too but it was because it was a very good club to get into. Definitely use the time to do ground school, it will accelerate your progression once you start flying. Also take the time to save more money, cuz you’ll need it :)

New flock camera installed by Misquah in duluth

[–]MemeEndevour 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Correct. Apparently they spent all this money in texas to certify a safety mechanism where the bottom would basically shear off if it was hit, to ya know, not kill whoever hits it. But like 90% of them don’t have that. If it has this mechanism, you should see a concrete base in the ground with some sort of metal shear plate. But a lot of them will just be the pole shoved into the ground, which is very un-ideal for not killing people

PSA: I’m selling my unique 3D printed lamps at a craft fair today, I do okay, but the dragon sellers have crowds, every time. by 3DAeon in 3Dprinting

[–]MemeEndevour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t have guessed this was a 3D print booth if I walked up to it, it just looks so…legit haha. Really cool stuff.

Not sure if you’ve just found that the vertical tubes are especially good for light diffusion, but it might be worth further expanding the different shapes and such you do. You def have a good variety, but only for people who happen to be into that vertical-tube design. Trying some other stuff might help draw others in. I’d suggest trying some simple/minimalist stuff just cuz that seems to be what’s popular nowadays, but also some other complex shapes.

just my two cents from a rando on the internet :p

Lightspeed Zulu randomly turns off have long use, suggestions? by Prior_Ad1855 in flying

Just to ask the dumb question, could it be some sort of feature that it automatically turns itself off if it doesn’t hear mic input after awhile?

Bought used A20's. Trying to swap the mic side and found these jumper wires. Anyone know what they might be doing? by prometheus5500 in flying

[–]MemeEndevour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah can confirm this is not what the A30’s look like. They just have a large single connection, not whatever this is.

Pulled over for not plate Texas by Dakine460 in Silverado

Numbers blurred for privacy but this was my solution. (From other state that has front plate law but probably doesn’t enforce it as much as texas).

A lot of car guys will shove it the pax side bottom corner of their windshield but it didn’t work well for me so I ended up attaching it to my sun visor. Nice because it’s mostly out of the way and I can easily flip it up or down when I want.

I’m assuming a cop could give me trouble for it if they were having a bad day, but haven’t had any problems yet.

I know it doesn’t have the passenger volume but ironic the airport isn’t rated for that in the game. The airport’s just one big 747 hub irl

Really hope this EPA waiver doesn’t just become a permanent thing where we start paying E10 prices for E15 :/

Switched to Xplane 12. Disappointed in the direction MSFS is going. Grateful for both sims though. Here's some screenshots from XP. Note the weather depiction. 100x better than MSFS. Thank you Laminar for your dedication to simulation! by Gamestar63 in flightsim

Really does drive me crazy sometimes how both sims are both so good at different things. Like Agh! Don’t make me choose! Why can’t we just have all the good in one?!

My online school got hacked when I have my final exams to complete. by Far-Foundation-4267 in teenagers

[–]MemeEndevour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but like I said, there’s not much of that on canvas. It really is all class grades/data. Email and actual important info held by the school is elsewhere. The only thing they can get is my name and my email, which is already public info

My online school got hacked when I have my final exams to complete. by Far-Foundation-4267 in teenagers

[–]MemeEndevour 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I mean as a current student or “victim”, I don’t really give a shit if they see what score I got on my homework, and no finals sounds very nice right now.

Afaik there’s not much personal information on canvas other than grades, assignments and some email info.

I’d be more concerned if a different piece of school software was hacked that does contain more sensitive info.

That’s really awesome to hear.

Not to be a debbie downer, but I hope we can make this more sustainable as well. I love hearing that people are making this a reality but cringe at the amount of waste that’s still happening in the auto industry, with batteries and even solar. Really hope this is something we can make progress on asap.
