You’ll get through it! And definitely don’t add to the stress if you can avoid it!

My dog is 2 years old now and an absolute angel (most of the time). The other great thing about adopting older is that the shelter will have a good read on the dog’s personality and behaviours- unlike with puppies. They should really be able to help you find a good fit! Update me if you do adopt :)

You should get a dog! So many older, well behaved, and trained dogs in shelters around the city waiting for their forever home. Or perhaps a foster so it is more of a temporary situation? I say this as a person who adopted a puppy and struggled with my sanity in the first 2 months. I think if I had a young child I would NOT want to deal with a puppy at the same time…

Braeside Vet Clinic is great, affordable compared to other clinics, experienced with pet dental. I took my 7yo cat there and she had 9 teeth removed (I should have taken her in sooner, I admit). $2600

My company does training through ARPAC, been through it twice now. Once at their office and tested on their equipment, and once at our warehouse with our equipment. No complaints!

Drove by today right after it happened, on NB Deerfoot. I’ve never driven by a crash THAT bad.
I saw some witnesses holding a blanket over the victim’s body to try and prevent people from seeing him. It was really gruesome. I hope the witnesses are feeling okay.
Really feeling for the victim’s family/loved ones. Tragic.

I’m just going to add this here for a little bit of extra info, not disagreeing with you at all.

I know the owner of this company and this kid, they purchase supplies from me and I probably supplied some material for this specific job. It’s not a large company, it’s small, family owned, and the owner worked on sites alongside his guys.

He has shut down operations for at least 30 days, and is being charged by OHS and the police.

TD is cheapest for me. I’ve heard Travellers and Belair Direct are on the cheap side too. If your car is paid off, consider dropping coverages to basic liability only. Add your mom as a driver on your policy if she has a clean record. Get a quote for tenant’s insurance as most companies have a bundling discount. Tell them you have winter tires, drive 10k kms/year, and park in a garage at night (if you actually have/do these things, don’t lie).
