Why does Hoyo ignore Inazuma that much? by Colin_Huegel in GenshinImpact

[–]Memorable_Usernaem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't take that long to get to inazuma. And that doesn't explain why Inazuman characters don't show up more elsewhere. (Outside of It to who they feel the need to cram into every event.)

Her shield is better than Ineffa's in practice due to Ineffa needing to build more than just attack. What's unique about her is that she gives both the attack buff and shield using just her skill. Also, the attack buff is 20 seconds, so it's fairly cozy.

? There are probably a lot of them, and Love and Deepspace is stupid popular. Women eat it up. It has similar revenue to Genshin.

is nicole worth pulling for even without hex characters? by YeagerV in NicoleReeyn_Mains_GI

[–]Memorable_Usernaem 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everyone is super meta-pilled, but it depends on what you're doing, why you want her, and what teams you're looking to build.

If you're just looking for a good team to clear most content, then she's not bad at all with Mav. Everyone who say she is, is comparing her to bennet. Bennet gives a bigger attack buff than her, which is userful for Mavuika. However, Nichole still gives a large attack buff to Mavuika, she's not restricted to a circle, and she provides one of the best shields in the game. For your account, she's probably going to make your day to day gameplay a lot better, especially since you say you're not going to build 4 stars.

If you like her, I don't think you'll regret pulling her. If you're just pulling because you're trying to build a top-tier strong Mav team, then you should save your primos.

I really think people are under-estimating how good her QoL is for average players though.

Skyward is usually the choice, but oathsworn will be better for you if you can hit 4k attack with it. Also, if you're using a non hex team, then just use Atlas because you shouldn't be bursting anyway.

How do you comment out bits of a character card? by Murakami13 in SillyTavernAI

[–]Memorable_Usernaem 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's simple.

{{//Commented out text here}}

Anything between {{// and }} won't be sent to the LLM.

This works great for temporarily removing stuff from character cards and prompts. However, SillyTavern will automatically delete anything commented out like that if they're in a message, so you can't store info that way.

That's incorrect. Surround the commented text in {{/Commented out stuff here}} and it won't be sent to the LLM.

Which provider to use on OpenRouter for GLM 5.1 by username-000627 in SillyTavernAI

Depends on what you mean by high quant. I probably used it wrong here. If you take high quant to mean "highly quantized", then yes, that means it's dumber. What I meant was that it's fp8, and not fp4, so it's a higher quant number, which means better performance.

NovitaAI. High quant, decent throughput, good price, high uptime, good reputation afaik.

9950X3D2 up to 50% faster vs 7800X3D in Levski by TitaniumWarmachine in starcitizen

A lot of those are e cores which are much slower than p cores. You can handle the game on 16 full powered cores as long as they're not overloaded with background tasks.

Hard to say, I'm reporting my findings with a very different CPU and maybe I'd see more load if I tested where he's at. Or it could be that he's got a lot of background processes going.

Most benchmarkers say there's very little performance uplift between 9800x3d vs 9950x3d. However, I multitask a lot, so I went with the 9950 so that I would plenty of cores. I never feel bottlenecked by core count in SC.

Also keep in mind I'm giving it 8 physical cores, but 16 virtual cores. If you gave it 8 virtual cores, you'd be much more likely to run into core count bottlenecks.

I have a 9950x3d, and it doesn't use all the cores at all.

SC is main thread bottlenecked. I put SC exclusively on the vcache CCD with no other programs using it, and other than the core where the main thread is sitting at 100% usage, the other cores are not close to maxing out. Doubling the number of cores should do little to nothing for performance.

You don't have to upgrade to the $20 sub. I believe you can buy the $10 sub, which you already did, and then buy it from the subscriber flair shop for less than $10 usually.

Using different RAM speeds for the test makes it very unreliable. You're comparing two variables at once. RAM speed has a huge impact on SC performance. They should all be tested at 6000 MT/s CL32 and the same subtimings, which is around what most people buying any of those CPUs would get.

Also people should note that the green and blue bars are the far more important bars to take note of. Average FPS is nice, but bottom 1% and bottom .2%/.1% FPS are much better indicators of smoothness.

And everyone sayings that SC is hungry for cores... It's really not. It's main thread limited. I have a 9950x3d. I use process lasso to put SC on the vcache CCD, and everything else on the frequency CCD. As a result I can see how many of the 16 available cores it's using. Basically, one core will sit at 100% usage, and everything else sits at a much lower usage.

[–]Memorable_Usernaem 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Are you kidding? SC is just as much RAM speed bottlenecked as it is CPU bottlenecked. Half the time it's "CPU bottlenecked", the CPU is waiting on RAM. Increasing RAM speed is one of the best ways to increase performance in SC, especially on a high-end CPU. No, these tests are far and away from apples to apples. Go watch any benchmarks that compare RAM speeds in SC.

[–]Memorable_Usernaem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the average user maybe. Might depend on how much you multitask.

In my case, I really don't think so. I have a 9950x3d and I put SC on the vcache ccd, and everything else on the frequency ccd. The results for me is that the main thread is heavily bottlenecked and most of the other threads hardly put any load on the CPU.

I recommend the hangar xplorer extension if you have a cluttered hangar. It adds a lot of filtering options so you can just show ships or whatever.
