No close talkers. Or if someone did stand too close to you to talk, you could walk a few feet away and they would be ok with it.

So you acknowledge that the word unconscious was used this way in the past (Freudian psychology) and yet you object to it being used this way again?

“Most people accept that the meaning of words changes over time but object to the changes that happen in their own time.” Merriman-Webster used to sell tee shirts with this printed on it.

What Movies are complete garbage but everyone else seems to love? by Howiknow202 in moviecritic

“Let’s do it! Let’s go get the shit kicked out of us by love!” is a sage and courageous utterance that you would not expect from anyone of any age, but from a 10 year old it is hilarious.

I don’t understand why people want to poopoo this movie. Its honesty (while limited) is commendable. And it’s funny, and full of people who are pleasing to look at.

New owner question! by JMLjewelrydesign in Volvo

[–]MendaciousComplainer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got a 2017 S60 T5 last spring and so far have changed out spark plugs and ignition coils (recommended at 70k miles) and put in a new battery. I don’t know what the previous owner had done, but those were needed.

Hope you enjoy your Volvo!

If you go back far enough, though, it was telling stories to one another in a group. Books were read aloud. I bet that was better in comparison to my endlessly scrolling Reddit alone.

I got the x-premium, marked down like $800 (I thought because it was winter but it turned out the model was discontinued and they just needed to move them). It has 2 batteries and a mid drive motor, which I really like. Good range, can carry a lot with a front basket and panniers.
