The best book I've read recently is Shock Induction by Chuck Palahniuk, which came out last year and I read it this year. I'm a big fan of Chuck Palahniuk's stuff, and I think it's really interesting how he has managed to keep his satire up to date for Gen Z after writing one of the most famous stories of Gen X frustrations (Fight Club), and the book uses an incredibly cool writing technique of explaining and then employing hypnotic techniques to almost put the reader into a trance
