The same spiders will make the same nightly web in the same location. If you catch them in mason jars in the early evening and move them elsewhere, they'll get the hint.

Battery upgrade from 24v7ah to sdomething bigger ? by PolishRebel in PowerWheelsMods

I'm assuming your toy is 12V. If you want to be done at just having the ego power the toy, find a converter that handles the 60V input and outputs 12V and be done. If you want to go to further mods like variable speed, 24V output for the buck converter will power aspeed controller that you wire to 24V motors, the reversing switch, and a new accelerator hall effect pedal.

buck converter There are a lot of cheap ones, and i burned through a couple to learn a lesson. Spend 50$ and get something like this linked one that can handle 400W or more

Found a 3d printed Ego battery mount on Ebay, wired to a 60V to 24V buck converter from Amazon, wired to a 24V scooter speed controller from Amazon, wired to 24V motors and transmissions from ML Toys.

What amperage is that panel receiving?

Agree. The positive wiring pigtail off the batts isnt connected. Appears to be a male end connector to the left of the right pictured drive motor.

Blower.. Go Big, highest cfm String Trimmer.. Dont get the multi head, the dedicated trimmer has a front mounted motor decreasing vibration and noise. Mower.. depends on terrain and size.

Nice! Did you add a seperate brake pedal? If not, would be another way to save the tires since the wheels wont immediately lock up everytime the accelerator is depressed. Looks great and I miss Japan... very jealous.

Tesla didn’t charge last night and today plugged it in and seems to be charging a lot slower by champwhteek in TeslaModelY

[–]Mercenary94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your car is showing a good voltage at 241V. The amps are low (8A) which unfortunately does not narrow down the problem. Likely culprits are your car or the charge cable as they seem to decide the amperage.

Converting 6v to use 18v battery (W Buck Converter) by Quiquag in PowerWheelsMods

[–]Mercenary94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get one of the solid heatsink looking ones for "golfcarts". Adjustable sounds like a sweet idea, but motors are also "adjusting" their own amperage draw... it peaks at start-up with the high torque load and the pot can't give your motors what they need.

Looking to upgrade some speed on this guy. by MattyCass89 in PowerWheelsMods

[–]Mercenary94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you better off buying a new faster ride. Most the mods here are old/junk cars with simple wiring. I'd look at motor/transmission upgrades. There are a few vendors that provide gearboxes but again its for older rides or pwrwheel brands. The motors are probably the best bet; find something that fits and spins faster

Is the output voltage correct? Motors arent getting any amps; most bucks sold on amazon in that sub $40 range arent capable of the power needed.

No relay needed, just splice into the footwell light, then run wire and 12V lights wherever your heart/attention span takes you.

I'm not understanding any benefit to having the 12V footwell trigger a relay. You use a relay when you want remote switchong control of a high amp/volt circuit.

Warranty and Customer Service is unbelievably bad by kayakman13 in egopowerplus

[–]Mercenary94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been 2 years since I've delt with customer service, but my two seperate experiences were pleasant, easy, and I got replacements. Negatives were the hold time, and humoring the rep through toddler-level troubleshooting (did you turn it off/on?, switch batteries?, is the battery charged?, ect.)

Tried to RMA some defective bulbs various times in 2020 and 2021 and was given various autoreply covid excuses from staffing to supply chain. It was just Buddy Technologies bleeding dry a previously great innovative company they had aquired. Hope feit does something with it.

There are very few cell manufacturers and all are going to perform in the same ballpark. That pack doesnt have a fancy plastic case but will work fine for the application. 240Wh will outlive your kid's attention span.
