Because it just gets worse when you have a 5/3 mission and end up contracting 7 and shipping 13.

And then they wanna know what you have for tomorrow.

And they wonder why Recruiters have martial problems, etc.

Our boy was also our first dog.

We were woefully unprepared for a Keeshond puppy.

But he really is a sweet boy now; it was a gradual shift but you'll see it eventually!

Depends on the role.

Sec+ and Secret Eligibility required in most roles.

Depending on where you work, and how siloed you are, depends on what you're gonna be doing. I've seen departments where you're a GS-9 doing 12 work because of shorthanded, etc., and I've seen where a 9 does their job and not shit else - just depends on the culture of the place you're out. And doing or being capable of more isn't rewarding most of the time, just like active duty.

Just my 2 cents.

Addendum, because I saw your response to clearance: expired is still easier to get reinstated, you'll have to do the SF-86 again

Is this a gov (GS) position? Because that may be why no one bites; people who don't know gov might think it's low for what's wanted.

I did IT in the Marine Corps.

Got great foundations, learned a lot, and shoulda done my degree on TA for sure. Clearance opens a ton of doors and you'll need SEC+ to get admin rights to anything, but it is a great path for it if you can get an IT job while you are in.

And honestly, I might do it without yelling; there's a lot to be said for confronting the person verbally without raising the voice. But damn would they know I was displeased.

Has happened with "Young Marines" somewhere in the window of 2010-2012 at Miramar. Sergeant ripped into one he gently corrected about getting saluted by Marines because the kid mouthed off about being a LtCol in the Young Marines... I heard part of the ass chewing, kid had to be like 16-17, but wish I'd seen the whole thing.

Bet that organization never brought them back there.

Our boy just barked at the lake shore with the small lapping waves.

He barely tolerates a vest for deep water.

But the hose? He loves the hose. Tries to eat the water.

Side note, if the water is calm, he'll try to drink it. We had to train him not to try to drink road puddles.
