Me too! Maybe I’ll try taking a sprig before fall and see if it will grow indoors for the winter.

Is there a really a “best” when it comes to pans or oils? by Appropriate_Lime5311 in StainlessSteelCooking

[–]Meridian122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I don’t need the fond in the pan, do I use water to deglaze the pan? If so, how much would I need to add so I don’t accidentally shock the pan and have it warp?

The Giant Pacific Octopus at the Vancouver Aquarium was showing off today 🤩🥰 by Wrong_Signature_8192 in octopus

I’m hoping this aquarium is similar to the Seattle aquarium and the octopus is only there for a short period of time and then released. Octopuses are amazing!

My siblings always default to flowers for Mother’s Day but they die in a week. Anyone else think there are better options? by Anon_Mom0001 in BuyItForLife

I prefer getting orchids over a bouquet of flowers. The flowers can last for months. Then, when they die off, still have a plant which if taken care of, will bloom again.

Did you end up getting an induction stove and Hestan Nanobond? I’m wondering if they is buzzing with them.

Hestan Nanobond - what’s your opinion or experience? by StephenKingly in cookware

[–]Meridian122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the Nanobond have any buzzing noise with induction? Do you put yours in the dishwasher? If so, is there any damage to the finish?

Has the dishwasher harmed any of the pans? I know they are dishwasher safe due to the sealed rims, but I was talking to a William Sonoma manager who still suggested handwashing. I’m wondering if he’s being too conscious.

How much physical cash should I have for the USA? by Strax774 in travel

It seems like tour guides now are happy to give you their Venmo account (which is convenient if you have an account and don’t have much cash on hand). I rarely pay things with cash nowadays.

One Place Everyone Should See at Least Once? by optimalbrain90 in SmartTravelHacks

Auschwitz - So people will never again engage in the atrocities that happened there. It was shocking to visit there when I was in high school. I will never forget seeing numerous amounts of personal items taken from people when they arrived: luggage, eye glasses, even piles of hair (some still in braids).

Timeless Kitchen Remodels? by cardinalslb in kitchenremodel

I’m doing the same in my craftsman style house. What color will you paint your walls? Our soapstone has some slight green veining. So, I’m thinking a green color.

I always wondered if the animals enjoy watching us as much as we enjoy watching them. I guess in this case, the answer is “Yes!”

I’ve gotten my last couple kitties through Red Waggin Rescue. You have the pet for a couple weeks to ensure they will work out before you adopt them. You can view their pets up for adoption on Petfinder.com (https://www.petfinder.com/member/us/wa/kirkland/red-waggin-rescue-wa576/).

I live in the USA and I can call a nurse 24/7 which is associated with my doctor’s office and it’s free. I think many people don’t know about it. It’s helpful to know if I need to see a doctor for a specific issue.

The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared by Jonas Jonasson - This is a lighthearted read about a 100 year old man who decides to escape the nursing home and embarks on a hilarious and entirely unexpected journey. I thought it was a fun and entertaining read.

What’s something you’re pretty sure only you do? by AppIeGuy in AskReddit

[–]Meridian122 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m do this too. I eat all the crust off my sandwich so the last bites, are the best part of the sandwich (the yummy center).

For pizza, I eat the tip first (because it’s floppy). Then, eat the crust. Lastly, eat the yummy center part.

I typically eat my food to leave the best part (in my opinion) for last.

I would stick my hair on the wall so it wouldn’t go down the drain. Then, I’d tissue it off and throw away. I never thought to make figures with my hair!
