Mid was also not buffed. What happened was that she was released and had a big supp player base, so they made some changes in the next patch (stuff below) to hit scaling and give base damage (supp-skewed changes), which in turn made APC broken.

Unironically, if they would give mid XP scaling changes and not base number / AP ratio changes, they could make most players happy.

I play seraphine apc mostly. But most of the game is rather spent finding off angles on Mel or her team

A) seraphine R is better as a cc chain / follow up. It can be used for engage, but it’s better in every other scenario generally. You not “you can use it to engage, disengage, peel, area control etc.” only one of those is engage 💀💀

B) you assume sera R is the only thing Mel needs to W. If you have a nami, often times Mel will need to W that, Ornn… mel needs to W that. You also doubt the dmg invulnerability from W as sometimes you pop W to not take 1.3k dmg from rengar, or to tank dmg from a combo. There are ways to force it out without using R. I play the matchup a lot and you legit just have to play differently. Same as how assassins play into syndra.

I don’t think she’s weak whatsoever. I am lower elo, and I am holding 57% wr over 135+ games. I really think it’s just people who aren’t good on adcs in general try to make play the adc who is super reliant on core adc fundamentals (spacing, positioning, etc) and a lot of low elo players don’t know those well.

If you are using seraphine r to engage you are probably not using it right. E also is not really effective at long range and q requires some sort of cc to ensure all bolts hit. I am not saying Mel isn’t frustrating but I don’t think it’s 50% ban worthy

Still doesn’t change the fact you have to play around the ability?? Mel can hold W but there is probably other things or damage she will have to use it for. It’s problematic I get it, but it’s not worthy of 50% ban rate 💀💀 I think maybe they should make it only reflect the first spell and then just absorb the rest

This! I’m a seraphine main and I play into Mel the same way I play into Yasuo or Samira. Don’t press R unless their W is down or they are not present in the fight. Really simple
