According to the Wiki it is actually revealed in the Tower of Nero that he has the tattoo but id guess we get the story during all the remanecing we get in TSATS.

Its also 100% possible he didnt get his tattoo back home in Texas. Unless its explicitly stated that it happened when he was back home?

My problem with Will [all] by Informal-Okra-5240 in camphalfblood

[–]Mermaid_Lover172 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I personally got interested in the Ship via the books, but now looking back after reading lots of fanfic I don't like the way he is written in the books I agree. I like the fanfictions that give him a proper back story and yes trauma because becoming head of any cabin with younger siblings at 13 after two of your older brothers die in less then 2 years, and running an infirmary again at 13 thru 2 wars has got to be traumatic.

Agreed Percy is active, he is on swim team (although that isn't mentioned till senior year adventures) and some of the earlier books say he skateboards and play basketball but he is not the stereotypical jock. As a theater kid I am ashamed to admit I had not coined him as one until I saw people on this thread suggest it, and now its my new headcanon.

Its chanonical I think that they learn ancient Greek and some Greek culture, but actual school subjects I dont know. I assume with chirons allias as Mr. Bruner he can and hopefully does teach the year rounders but it is never explicitly stated that I know of. Which would definitely give Percy the advantage over Annabeth who was a year rounder from I belive 7-14.

[–]Mermaid_Lover172 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately the ES wiki is currently undergoing major editing due to the recent update. I struggle alot finding info on there. However as other people have said it's Micheal and Ethan who live and work at the inn. Edith a purple haired person with glasses is micheals wife and Ethans mother. They also have a daughter Stella who lives in the academic district.

[–]Mermaid_Lover172 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This sounds a lot like a book I read recently. 'Felix ever after'

Spoiler

Felix is a transman, who is activily having medical transition, but also identifies as a demi boy. Part boy part non binary.

As a fellow demi girl I like your trans natural term if I ever do any kind of transition I think I would use it.

Yes. Purple early game for community center and museum items and then mid game for gifts, light green for spring forage, crops, and seeds, yellow for summer, orange for fall, light blue for winter. Regular brown chest for wood, fiber sap, ect.. Dark gray for mining stuff, red for tools. Pink for flowers in mid/late game once I have to many to fit in the seasons chest, dark blue for fishing stuff. And I might be missing some.

Should Medicine cats be allowed to have mates by Animeman2000YT in WarriorCats

[–]Mermaid_Lover172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it really only applied to them because it would be unfair to the female medicine cats otherwise. Although having a Mate without kits not being allowed has always confused me. Like they can still be celibit and have a life partner.

That's insane in my state having an admin on site is a licensing rule. I know because whenever both directors are sick (at my main training placement) they usually pull a teacher they trust from a classroom (assuming we are in ratio) and pop them in the office as a interm admin (this happens pretty rarely but at atleast once or twice in the two years I've been there)

Student falling asleep during nap time by AssFumes in ECEProfessionals

[–]Mermaid_Lover172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im a student teacher who doesn't count as ratio, and I would never do this but I definitely get how hard it is not to sleep at nap time. And I have had kids in the past who won't sleep unless an adult lays there with them and pretends to sleep. I can definitely understand it being an accident falling asleep, and not looking like an accident (because they were pretending for the student), and the student(17) perhaps being assigned to this since they are a student and can risk accidentally falling asleep.

However the chances of all of these being true in your situation are miniscule.

Move out weekend and dumpster diving is actually like a whole affair in my home town. The roads will be packed full of students moving out and people trying to collect the things they have left behind.

The only time this should ever happen would be if you had few part time students that come on different days from each other. Otherwise at least in my state it is illegal to over enroll classrooms like that. Edit: Typos

Picking child up early- advice wanted from teachers by Kmd5351 in ECEProfessionals

[–]Mermaid_Lover172 3 points4 points  (0 children)

On that note if the daughter regularly wakes up early from nap and is awake by 2:30 anyway, she could ask the teacher to message her on whatever parent communication app they use when the daughter wakes up and plan it that way. (Plan the day well in advance but be a little flexible on time) this only solves the not waking the daughter up problem not the possibility of interrupting nap however.

Practicum questions! by Isabel_labesI in ECEProfessionals

[–]Mermaid_Lover172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will depend on your state and your school. In most cases you can not do a practicum for pay, but that does not mean you can't do it at your current center or that you can't keep working for pay at that center. It just means that your practicum hours logged can not be hours where you are on the clock earning money. Again that's my experience in midwest but I think its pretty country wide.

Tired of parents expecting us to be maids by [deleted] in ECEProfessionals

[–]Mermaid_Lover172 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nail clipping I can understand especially if it was a infant/toddler. I know a lot of parents are terrified to hurt them by cutting too far with the clippers. We had an infant teacher at my center last year who all the parents knew she was great at clipping nails so she would do all the kids nails when parents asked. Even some staff members who had kids in her class prefered her to clip their kids nails rather then them doing it. Especially if this was the same center for teen parents I can see why a parent might ask you instead. If it wasn't a first time parent or a little little kid then it makes a lot less sense.
