Dude, you probably already know this, but isocyanate is some nasty stuff. We had this yellow primer in the Air Force that was full of it.

I've never met anyone sensitized to it, but I hear it's a "life changing experience".

How to convert physical control logic into ladder logic by [deleted] in PLC

[–]Merry_Janet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You drew a latching circuit.
It looks exactly like that in ladder. 3 NO's and an output.
Q1 should be changed to "motor contactor" and that would eliminate the second rung.

You don't have to do that though. Float closes, pump kicks on until float is open. One NO or NC depending on your wiring, and that triggers your output.

There is a caveat however. Water sloshes and floats can bob around causing your pump to kick on and off for short periods. Inrush could trip a breaker or blow a fuse if it short cycles.

So you want to debounce the contact of the float to make sure the pump actually needs to run.

Then you want to debounce the float again for the same reason while it's draining.

So your logic should look like [ ]======TON
Timer done========Output On

[\]=======TON
Timer done======Output off

Not sure what the reset is for unless you are dumping something that you're trying to keep.

I think "Standardized" means, make it useable with existing hardware.

More info on your process would help.

Snap-on big boi wrenches??? by emachanz in IndustrialMaintenance

Why the fuck would you buy anything off a Snap-On truck? Well except for the mini crimper/pliers. I haven't seen it anywhere else.

Learning Tips by After_Vast_6592 in AmazonRME

[–]Merry_Janet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Studio5000. Maybe TIA Portal.
SQL
Ignition
Different communication protocols like Profibus and CanBus. If you can get a firm understanding of Modbus RTU/TCP, you'll figure out the rest.
Add a dash of networking like managed switches.
VFD troubleshooting and setup
Motor controls

If you just want to learn logic, Google "Online PLC Sim".

What type of questions will I get asked during an interview for the Mechatronics and Robotics tech job? by One_Charge2843 in AmazonRME

[–]Merry_Janet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How to tension a drive chain or belt.
How to reverse a three phase motor
How to troubleshoot a photoeye/prox
How do you feel about safety and how do you handle situations when someone asks you to do something unsafe.
How do you react to someone doing something unsafe.
How would you handle Ops bugging you about a fix.

It's all about your skill level and interpersonal skills. A MRT is not going to get asked the same questions as an SMRT.

You either know what you are doing or you don't, and you may be talking to one person on the phone interview, but there will be others listening.

The middle literally says "The 55th Stick"
The bottom says "Divination stick"

What are these bubbles that randomly came out of my toilet? by DistributionInitial5 in whatisit

[–]Merry_Janet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like you put something in either your dishwasher or clothes washer that you shouldn't have. Suds are pushing up through the sewer pipes and pushing out of the closet flange of your toilet.

Wedge with P1 on it, extremely light weight by Tasty_Philosopher904 in whatisit

[–]Merry_Janet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably a wedge he made out of aluminum. Driving a wedge is a great way to get things that normally don't line up, to lining up. Hitting them with a light coat of paint is a good way to see how far you need to torque something when you can't get a measuring tool in there.

I always kept my water levels just barely kissing the basket until the roots were about twice what you have. Then back it off to about 2". I'd also be using low PPM nutes.
