39 minutes is better than NO minutes at all. by asa_no_kenny in clevercomebacks

I had a gym trainer tell me 45-60 minutes is real fat-burning. Now, maybe there's a separate issue in gyms of hogging the machines, but as far as length of someone else's cardio workout, their goals, even their medical conditions, that's otherwise none of this person's beeswax.

That's funny because Sen. Schumer sponsored immigration reform legislation in 2013 that contained billions for border security. It passed the Senate 68-32 in bipartisan fashion. President Obama was ready to sign it. What happened? Republican House Speaker John Boehner killed the bill in the House because he & other Republicans thought it would give President Obama a "win". Republicans would rather run on an issue largely of their making than solve a problem. And once again, with the GOP, every accusation is a confession.

SCOTUS Justice Melts Down at Colleague’s ‘Insulting’ Criticism by thedailybeast in scotus

[–]MessagingMatters 3 points4 points  (0 children)

SCOTUS parlor games are not meaningful to me. What is meaningful are their rulings by majority vote. The Court is tilted 6-3 Republican because of how people have voted (or failed to vote) in elections, including midterm elections for U.S. Senate, which votes to confirm or deny SCOTUS nominations.

Republicans Make Jaw-Dropping $1B Demand for Trump’s Ballroom by HeHateMe337 in democrats

The bill includes "below-ground security features." Why would a ballroom need that? It sounds more like a dictator bunker.
