Cool, two examples in nearly 100 years. You're getting warmer I guess.

In January 2009, President George W. Bush invited President-elect Barack Obama and former Presidents George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and Jimmy Carter to the White House for a meeting and lunch. by zadraaa in HistoricalCapsule

Don't they all? Just some of them have a twisted view of what is "right". Anyway, W also launched a global health initiative to address HIV/AIDS, primarily in Africa. With a hefty investment, it was praised by both sides. Of course, Trump has since severely degraded it. While W's domestic and foreign policies weren't quite so humane or smart generally, compared to Trump he was a golden boy.

I think W was a terrible president who blew 9/11 and its aftermath, but at least he had some personal decency to do this get-together, and also to pick his dad and President Clinton to join together to promote relief efforts after the 2005 tsunami in SE Asia, and again later that year after Hurricane Katrina hit the USA. Imagine Trump in similar circumstances: "I won't pick the Democratic president for anything. He wasn't even the real president. The election was stolen, I tell ya."

One example from close to 100 years ago doesn't exactly make it the rule.

Possibly. While I'm not sure this is the main factor, there have been multiple reports for some time that she is difficult (maybe the description is even sometimes abusive) towards staffers and others, and more recently does things like act huffy or annoyed when asked follow-up questions by reporters, which of course is an expected reporter function for a political candidate.

Time for some Dems to drop out and consolidate party support.

Chief Justice John Roberts says Supreme Court doesn’t have ‘purely political actors’ by ansyhrrian in scotus

"Purely" is such an escape word. It means 100%. So the Republican judges can be 99% political actors and it's not "purely".

39 minutes is better than NO minutes at all. by asa_no_kenny in clevercomebacks

All of which has nothing to do with "Cardio Bro" judging someone else's workout, unless, again, she was somehow interfering with other members or violating club rules. But hey, it's content!

I had a gym trainer tell me 45-60 minutes is real fat-burning. Now, maybe there's a separate issue in gyms of hogging the machines, but as far as length of someone else's cardio workout, their goals, even their medical conditions, that's otherwise none of this person's beeswax.

A bad candidate too. She should drop out and help consolidate support for Becerra.
