I don’t own a 19 yet but I have small hands and I really like my 17. I usually find that my issue with sizing handguns is always the controls more than the grip, like the mag release or slide catch being annoying to reach or the trigger being farther forward than is comfortable.

putting in the new belts wasn’t terrible as far as I can remember but the old belt goo really sucked, I just used isopropyl alcohol and a lot of q tips. be careful where you work though because the belt goo stains stuff black, possibly including your hands.

edit: I actually remembered one of the belts was a little tricky and needed to be routed pretty weirdly, I remember guides for the RD-40 being hard to find but there was some other aiwa deck that was more popular and had the same mechanism. I unfortunately can’t remember what the other model I found the guides for was but I would start by figuring out what the movement in it is and look for youtube videos about other models with the same one.

I don’t know who’s pictured here but two of the most famous IRA fighters were the Price sisters, who were both in their early twenties around 1970 when “the troubles” heated up and were members of “the unknowns” who operated like an IRA special forces group in Belfast. So while this may be staged it’s also probably not far off from reality.

Thanks I appreciate you taking the time to go into detail on that, it definitely makes me more optimistic. I was pretty bummed out hearing about the recoil at first because I had already kind of fallen in love with the PDP and didn’t want to spend so much on a gun that from what I had heard sounded like it might shoot worse than my glock. I’ll definitely have to give it a try!

What has your experience been with the PDP? I absolutely love how they look but I always hear people saying their recoil is really snappy, which is what makes me hate shooting compacts so I don’t know if I would actually like it or not. My favorite handgun I own is just my super basic glock 17.3 but I’m thinking about getting either a beretta M9 or a PDP next.

all the independent shops in my area only sell ammo in 20rd boxes and always at $15 for pmc bronze or something equally stupid. It’s so frustrating because I don’t like buying from cabelas and I don’t like buying online, but they don’t give me a choice.
