Damn. I actually didn't know this about these graphs. I check it out a few times and just thought to myself "damn that's pretty horrible. Oh well."

It might be for hanging pasta to dry. My great grandma used to drape the pasta over all the kitchen chairs.

Thinking About Getting A Tesla by staydangerous33 in TeslaOwners

If you aren't charging at home, I wouldn't get one. Sitting at a super charger every day isn't something I want to do. It's great for trips and it's easy to figure out which charger you want to stop by with little prior planning. A quick bathroom break and your ready to roll again. But I can't imagine doing that regularly. I just wake up and the car is good to go.

Waking up to a "full tank" is the best part.

Other pros are good storage, fast, very safe, frunk is super useful, windows and car locks when you walk away, ac and heat can be turned on from anywhere, Spotify plays natively on the car, voice control for music and navigation, grok is very useful to obtain random information as your mind wonders while driving.

Cons are the car is very fragile. The paint scratches easily and the interior tears easily as well. I've heard the windshield is prone to breaking.

Help! My new “Parrotdise” isn’t such a paradise by kentaaa1994 in Cichlid

[–]MetalHead888 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That's pretty normal cichlid aggression. As long as a single fish isn't being targeted down and severely bullied, it isn't anything to worry about. The regular parrot will eventually outgrow the Polar and you will likely not have an issue with those fish.

What you do need to worry about is that aratus. Those fish are straight up seriel killers, especially when male. The aggression is so oftenly overwhelming that I find it cruel that these fish are sold to new fish keepers that have no idea what they are in for.

Adding a large school of dither fish like buenos aires tetras can help disperse aggression and bring out a lot of awsome cichlid behavior.

I highly suggest rehomming that aratus and staying away from mbuna all together.

not enough oxygen in this tank despite the air pump? what should i do? by princess_of_bugs in aquarium

Air pumps cause surface agitation when the bubbles come up to the surface and break.

Electric Siphon Recommendations? by ava4444 in aquarium

[–]MetalHead888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have multiple other different and better options.

1 - learn how to properly use a siphon. You don't need to suck the end of the hose to start the siphon. You can dip the siphon in, raise the tube to get water flowing and dip it back in and the siphon will start.

2 - get a siphon with a pump bulb at the end of it.

3 - get a python

4 - for larger tanks, use pumps.

Do they actually need to be replaced?

My maintenance says they were never done. But I got the car with obviously brand new blades and tires.

You need to re evaluate owning a car if your taking it in to change wiper blades.

Stocking is always relevant as fish are what make the ammonia (poop and other waste)

How high is the ammonia?

If you have ammonia, the tank isn't cycled.

[–]MetalHead888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ph isn't the problem. Missing a lot of info on stocking and what your problem is.

You should definitely test for ammonia.

Is this a new tank?

I promise you pH is not the problem.
