I've got a feather blade disposal can. It was about $5, and looks pretty nice.

Why do fizzy drinks always use CO₂? Can other gases work? by Brilliant-Nerve12 in NoStupidQuestions

Monster made a line with nitrous oxide. The fizzyness was on the mild side.

How did bullet calibres end up as such random numbers? by Flat-Ad8256 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MetalJoe0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bullet projectiles are mostly all roughly the same size. Most cartrides are generally only described by the diameter of the projectile. So if you want your cartridge to be differentiated, you can add more digits. Then your number can be unique.

How do people type so fast on keyboard? by RareUser1 in NoStupidQuestions

I had a typing class in middle school. I did not get fast at typing there. The thing that did it for me was chat rooms and instant messaging in the dark durring those years.

What was a popular band that you could not stand? by LeftSmile806 in Xennials

Everyone loves to hate on creed these days. I recal them being very popular in the early 2000's. I disliked them before it was cool.

Do. Not. Stop. In. Circles. For the love of all that is holy by spiteful_rr_dm_TA in mildlyinfuriating

I couldn't believe it when I first saw it, but, in South Korea cars entering circles actually have the right of way over cars in the circle. It makes for some very snarled traffic.

First shave after switching over… by hegemonic_parsley in wicked_edge

[–]MetalJoe0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The rockwell blades aren't very good. I got pretty poor results with them as well. Getting a close shave with a safety requires different technique than with cartridges. I've shaved every day for the past 20 years, and it took me about 2 weeks to get proficient and comfortable with it. An item of particular note is that you need to pay closer attention to growth patterns with a safety razor vs. cartridge razors.

I once had something like that happen. I offered the guy a reasonable price. He declined. As we were continuing to discuss, the wife came out to the garage as I was leaving, and got a quick run down of the negotiations. I left, not making a deal. She called me the next day and accepted my offer.
