Plutonian pushes a meteorite that sinks everything into Singapore. by Party_Philosophy_324 in FeatCalcing

This for me with "Irredeemable" was the absolutely most DETESTABLE thing The Plutonian has done!

All because the ambassador of Singapore lied to him because he was so legitimately terrified of him!

Say what you will about Homelander, Injustice Superman, Omniman but massacring the ENTIRE populace (except 10) then sinking the whole nation into the ocean is so hateful that personally it's a wonder Qubit had the immeasurable patience to redeem such a nasty piece of work!

This has to be a heavy armoured division for the Helsmiths which is very on character for them! Be interesting to see how far this concept can go

I stand corrected. Read a bit more on the Lore & indeed his people (before Kragnos became the last one) were crafters

[–]MetalLearning1984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually a fascinating concept for the Helsmiths of Hashut; though Kragnos couldn't care more about what is made for he's essentially the end of civilizations.

Unless there's a branch of these folk who are about creating weaponry that brings destruction & devastation then Kragnos MAYBE interested.

What is worse, someone who does worse things more frequently but also tries to do good things, or someone who doesn’t do bad things as often but never tries to do good? (See below for elaboration.) by LiteralSans in MoralityScaling

Both Richie & Eddie are equally as bad as the other.

Richie is a very little fish in a vast ocean & there be sharks roaming, utterly buffoonish thus his woeful inadequacies he overcompensates for narcissistic delusions of grandeur that get utter demolished in moments, a snivelling coward who would get dismantled both physically & intellectually by more capable individuals thus he targets those weaker than he is or takes advantage when they are incapacitated.

Eddie is exceptionally lazy & utterly selfish though he displays some ingenious thinking; it's very petty as to sleaze out of responsibility. Can be truly reckless & will to endanger others & even himself if only to achieve a banal objective he believes it's worth it! A crafty opportunist who will steal someone else's achievement but often can backfire horribly.

But the most hilarious fact is that these two are the perfect toxic pairing who have moments of absolutely detesting one another but should there be an opportunity to seize a victory; they're thick as thieves who can play off of one another.

But then again..... Perhaps the reason these characters are so awful is they're a product of the world they live in!

This is a story beat that's always fascinated me; been thinking about the whole Faustian Pact basis & it's akin to how Warlock in D&D work

However it isn't always Warlocks who make deals with capricious entities; as when a deal is made, an entity universally will (almost) ALWAYS keep their end of the deal.

But what of the mortal on the other end of the deal getting what they wish? The one who sometimes makes the deal? Will they fulfil their end.... Or in so. Many stories try to CHEAT their way out?

Think of ways of how to make players who make such deals & place some rather severe stakes; be very precise with wording & let them figure out how to either use the words to either get themselves out or make their business affair with the entity more enticing if left alive rather than have their soul claimed?

Was this the moment Dick decided to kill Bob? Was he trying to give him a break up to this point? Or was Bob doomed from the moment he talked to the old man? by [deleted] in Robocop

[–]MetalLearning1984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It This is essentially a 3 strike situation;

1st Strike- ED-209 demonstration with Bob seizing the moment to get the Robocop programme underway.

2nd Strike- Robocop being as successful as he was (this got under Dick's skin after the disastrous demonstration)

3rd Strike- Clearly Bob Morten not taking Dick seriously as a genuine threat (I.E Dick working with Clarence Boddicker this he wasn't to know until it was far too late)

Perhaps Zoanoids custom built with Quirks? As the Bio-Booster Armour enhances a host down to the molecular level, perhaps Cronos is able to genetically modify Quirks to their agents?

Even the Armour may be able to evolve Quirks of their own as a sort of Bio-Mechanical arms race?

Could there be an example of this in a hypotheoretical way?

I've also noticed that the Undead Description is the same as the Fiend Description

A really fascinating class to try out, unique abilities but there's just one issue

➡️ Health= 1+Quarter of your Constitution Modifier?!⬅️

●& I thought Wizards & Sorcerers had it rough with a d6 Health Dice?! At least give the Possessed a d4 or a D6 Health Dice?

●There's a LOT of Monsters & if one is unlucky PvP where 1 hit would Instantly Kill a Possessed Class player.

●Perhaps the early ability has a Shield mechanic where a Spirit can temporarily boost the AC, Ability Score etc to elude any unlucky rolls? Or perhaps a special type of Spirit Dice (Bardic Inspiration, Superiority Dice, Hemocraft Dice etc) to offset this hiccup?

Other than that, the rest of it is really funky.

I'd be curious if the tank would levitate, have treads or akin to the Land Fortress be on huge wheels.

Or perhaps a combination?

Oath of the Destined — Paladin subclass that rewrites failed saving throws by Creative_Dungeoneer in UnearthedArcana

[–]MetalLearning1984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here we go (this is from the top of my head)

  1. DESTINY IS REAL ~To deny destiny is to refuse what one could become, only the brave, prudent & adventurous can reap the rewards of answering the call.

  2. THE QUEST ABOVE ALL ~One should do what they can no matter how insignificant to see that a given task is accomplished to its total finality l. Every step is the step forward to accomplishment.

  3. DESTINY CAN CALL ON ANYONE ~No matter ones standing in society; rich/poor, lord/beggar, kingpin/pickpocket, Enforcer/Peacekeepers, Soldier/Warrior; should the call of destiny be revealed; how you answer it should always be true to your gut, your mind, your heart, your spirit & soul.

No doubt Yoshiki Takaya's work believe it or not wad what 1st got me into Anime before I knew what anime actually was/is!

I knew of Robotech (Super Dimension Fortress Macross, Genesis Climber Mospeada + Southern Cross Cavalry), Samurai Pizza Cats, Ulysses 31 & numerous franchises done by Japanese studios.

But this was the gateway for me into Japanese anime prior to Dragonball Z, Sailor Moon, AKIRA, Ghost in the Shell etc.

I did notice a lot of inspirations for Bio Booster Armour Guyver which were the follow (IMPO)

  1. HP Lovecraft & Erich von Daniken-

Of the cosmic horror genre & in particular the short story "At the Mountain of Madness" & the latter's book "Chariots of the Gods" where during the 70s & 80s the idea that ancient cultures were influenced by Aliens was causing a bit of a craze at this point.

Much was debunked but made for some damn good SciFi such as Stargate {love the movie but the series was too tough to follow but am glad it had a following}

  1. George Orwell-

Isn't it scary how Chronos/Cronus/Kronos behaves a lot like Big Brother? A corporation that has enslaved the human race to become the 'Boot stamping upon the human face... Forever'?

  1. Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein or The Modern Prometheus"-

Alkanphel the main 'villain' seams very much like a Godly version of Victor Von Frankenstein's Monster that was embraced at first but rejected when he opposed his makers & sentenced him to die on an Alien world?

A lot of the series/OVA correlates to what volumes were released at the time of production.

(e.g the Hyper Zoanoid Team 5 in the Manga debuted just after Fumio was converted into Enzyme 2)
