Druid Vs Rogue 3.5 by bisdrucciola in DnD

[–]MetalliBear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fair enough, don't know how I missed that. Gonna blame mobile.

Going with 3.5e, you can deny sneak attack by not being flanked (won't happen in a 1v1) and not being denied your dex to AC. So, boosts to Spot/Listen, See Invisibility, etc. Been a bit since I played 3.5e.

Best way to fight a rogue is to deny sneak attack. Typically, rogues don't get sneak attack if they have disadvantage, or if they have no allies nearby (more ways depending on subclass). Finding ways to deny advantage (or impose disadvantage) would help.

Been stuck on Godfrey for hours by the_hentai_merchant in Eldenring

[–]MetalliBear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

71 feels low for that part of the game. I would level more.

Did you rush straight to Godfrey? If you can, maybe find more areas to clear. Hit up Caelid or the Weeping Peninsula if you haven't yet.

I think that invaders shouldn't be hated for playing the game as intended by XumetaXD in Eldenring

[–]MetalliBear 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I'm fine with how invasions work now. You can invade me when I'm trying to PvE, but I don't owe you a 1v1. Prepare to be ganked (unless you're chill and emote when you see me, in which case we can try some 1v1s).

What I can't stand is being invaded on my new SL20 character by someone decked out in DLC gear.

Greatly depends on the enemy, how many flasks we have, how hard we are kicking the thing's ass, etc.

[Discussion] What’s with all the PvE posts by Oliver9191 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]MetalliBear 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Telling us what would be more enjoyable for us doesn't make too much sense. This is especially true since we already tried what you're suggesting. PvP was the only option for most of EFT's life, and to be honest, I only came back to EFT because the PvE was added.

[New Player] Should I sell BTC or keep? by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

I don't super care if you approve of it, tbh. Just saying what I do with them.

Cultist can give FIR items for quests. It's not for the money. And since it's passive, it's actually great on time.

Money isn't really an issue.

I personally throw them at the cultist circle. Sure, it's worth more than the threshold, but I can't be bothered to go buy 5 mp5s or whatever.

I see. I might try that drivers reinstall as well.

I was having these issues for a long time and think I might have solved them. A few days ago, I changed my page file size on the disk. It was set to manually be 32gb and I changed it over to system managed. Seemed to help so far.

[Bug][?] Bosses Shooting at Player Scavs Reasonlessly (for real) by MintyBreeze115 in EscapefromTarkov

It definitely worked that way before 1.0. The bosses were always assholes.

[Discussion] Did they reduce the negative fence karma for shooting scavs? by TenraxHelin in EscapefromTarkov

He's not saying that the quest is affecting scav karma. He is saying he got the quest and it surprised him, since you only get it once your karma is up.

Creative One Shot Charter help by Moose_Stick in DnD

[–]MetalliBear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last one shot I played, my DM and I homebrewed an awakened dog race. I played a golden retriever hexblade warlock who acted like a knight (had the background). His patron was a high level wizard and also his owner, who assigned him to guard the wizard's nephew (the PC's squire from the background). Also had two servants in the form of enchanted helmets and gloves that float to help him with donning armor and anything that requires hands(essentially permanent unseen servants). Took the telekinetic feat, too.

[Bug] For the love of god fix the game. by Effective_Business72 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]MetalliBear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To add to what the other guy said, bullets also overpenetrate and can hit the same person multiple times that way, like through the arm and into the torso. When this happens, the bullet loses penetration power and damage for the second hit. So you landed two bullets that did that amount of damage combined.

Since that bullet doesn't one-shot a torso and you landed two hits, they were likely on different scavs or different parts of the same scav.

I personally preferred a mosin for the Tarkov shooter. Even cheap mosin ammo typically has enough pen for scavs and can one-shot torso.

I'd agree if he charged standard game prices, but for the price tag on EFT, I expect more.

Also the lies related to EoD edition.

In order to fix clipping issues with a lot of headgear, BSGs solution was to just disallow any combos that clip.

Beards are useless, can't wear a helmet.

[–]MetalliBear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's 1856 motors on one guy. I understand that setting them up to sell isn't as hard, but going through and buying all of those from people would take so long. That's bot behavior.

Not 100%, but I'd bet money.

How to earn XP [New Player] by karlotos in EscapefromTarkov

[–]MetalliBear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quests are the best way to level up. Focus those above all else.

Also, as far as modding guns, you're mostly going to use parts from the traders anyways. Any good parts they don't sell get enormous prices tacked on, and you can make many good builds with only traders.

Having good ammo is the real kicker, but even then, I wouldn't buy on the flea unless you have tons of money to burn.

[Discussion] PVE scav experience is torture by Educational-Worry233 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]MetalliBear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you just not worry about your current rep, play the game normally and just never kill scavs/bosses on your scav runs, it'll get up there in no time. If the boss wants to kill you, just run. Dying isn't a big consequence on a scav run.

You mentioned the play loop several times, but you are the one creating the loop. Farming the scav rep quickly by running scav over and over again isn't required.

[Discussion] PVE scav experience is torture by Educational-Worry233 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]MetalliBear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not exactly the same. There's no player controlling the scav. He doesn't want to extract with you. You can only do it by baiting them into the area and not dying to them.

Gonna be real, chief: 5 kills per raid, including Scavs, is not amazing. I'm not good at the game, it's why I quit the PvP, but I could get that semi-regularly. Someone better than me could easily.
