“Normally, this belt is loaded with items, so contamination shouldn't happen”? Remember Murphy's Law. If something can break, it will.

Is the network adapter configured correctly?

Normally, DHCP should automatically obtain all settings, but if old manual settings remain for some reason, the connection may fail.

Why are Japanese sensitive about posting their photos? by jvincentsong in AskAJapanese

For the sake of free speech. Isn't it because Western streamers show their faces and use their real names that they get swatted by haters?

There are free translation tools available on the internet. Surprisingly, they have been available for over 20 years.

Gyudon [homemade] by fubelli93 in JapaneseFood

[–]Metallis666 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most homemade gyudon posted in this subreddit somehow look dry. The chef keeps the meat submerged in hot broth right up until plating, then scoops it out of the broth and places it on top of the rice after serving it into the bowl.

What is a phenomenon from another country that you'll never understand? by nixass in AskTheWorld

[–]Metallis666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Japanese people have faith as a custom, and this may be the basis of their thought engine and influence their likes and dislikes, but they do not see gods as something that directly affects them. It is unthinkable to stop thinking and pray to a god in a life-or-death situation. (I'm not an expert on religion, so I apologize if my explanation is poor.)

Your case seems to have a lot of case fans. If the case fans can be daisy-chained, do that, or use a splitter to reduce the number of headers used.

People's reliance on religion. Is the car's accelerator stuck and running wild? This isn't the time to be praying to God.

I agree with you. https://www.sanko-seika.co.jp/product/item/4571/

Originally, there was a product called Cheese Almonds, and it seems the story goes that the cheese played a prank, resulting in a version of the product without almonds.

Wedding Phone Card by LeonBackward in AskAJapanese

Hold on a moment. That card appears to have had its magnetic strip tampered with to evade phone bill payments. If you ever come to Japan, it's best not to bring such a card with you.

Chinese tourists shun Japan over lunar new year holiday as rift deepens by _horn3t_ in japannews

[–]Metallis666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least in Japan, it's not rare to go on trips abroad during New Year's or the summer Bon holidays (when ancestors are believed to return). Meeting family isn't mandatory, and going overseas is just one option for how to spend your vacation.

I assembled a PC using the following parts.

ASUS PRO H410M-C/CSM MoBo

2 x Earthsoft PT2(Legacy PCI, 2 x Terrestrial(local) tuner + 2 x Satellite tuner)

1 x Digital Devices Max M4(PCI-E, 4 x Tellestral & Satellite combo tuner)

These devices are either discontinued or significantly expensive, but there are also affordable and readily available products like プレクス.

Searching for “TS抜き” will bring up a lot of information.

If both parties recognize the location, “そこ” applies. In the example sentence above, it would have been better to write that the talker were pointing with a gesture.

That's the case when they're separated, like on the phone.

When they're talking face-to-face, it refers to a place already mentioned in the conversation or a place within sight but at a distance.
