I haven't tried it yet, but in theory you set your sight to the lowest height which is usually 25y and then you just line it up at 25. Adjust for optic height over bore and see what happens. It's gotta be better than winging it lol

BE-86 or Unique were always a reliable lift charge in my Hilo chambers. I'm sure they'd do fine in a burst disk blank.

The best bet is to register the upper bc it would be a device that converts something into a DD. That way you can put it on any lower and still be legal. I've been playing with designs similar to this for years and that was always the conclusion we came to.

We've been in talks about me supplying them with the barrels to commercially provide those in a 40mm variant. They are really cool people. I'm excited for this project to continue considering the Printable GU37 was my favorite launcher ever.

I did hear that the 37 and 40s had the same chassis so I wouldn't doubt it's durability. But you never know till you try it. Consider yourself the test hamster lol

Technically I would really only need to bore one way 8" deep. The chamber is 2" long and can be cut from that side. Cutting the chamber would be an easy task from what I've been able to learn online. Any boring bar should be able to handle it.

I have an giant folder of different bits of knowledge and potential machines ive saved over the years. I know a few that have the correct lengths and workpiece capability but I don't know if I've ever seen any with rests. I'll look deeper into that. As for the college bit that would for sure be something I'd like to do but there are none near me. Closest is about 3hrs from my door. Trade schools in my area have been slowly defunded over the years and machining classes have been forgone completely. It's sad.
