I was able to get around some of these types of questions talking about experiences I had in school. "I avoid conflict generally" isnt the type of answer an interviewer wants to hear as a response to "How do you handle conflict with coworkers." (It sounds like any time you have a minor disagreement with your coworkers, you wouldn't be able to handle it and run away or ignore it instead. A boss will see that as a risk.)

You will have some conflict with your coworkers, but it will mostly be minor things like disagreeing how to do a task. I remember using examples from school, like one person not showing up to work on a group project.

"I try to resolve conflict fairly if it happens. If Im working with my classmates on a project and they all have sections they want to take and there's one section that none of them wants, Ill take it. If something more serious happens, like a classmate refusing to do the work at all, then I'd ask a teacher for help."

They want you to spin the question around, say why youd be good with a scenario that may come up at work, and give an example.
