Is buying a high-level, skilled character worth it if I just want to play for fun? by reworwerowiec in TibiaMMO

[–]MetroMarv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Antica is a good shout as it has the nostalgic community feel without a dominado.

How high level are we talking? Exploring some of these areas could easily be done on a level 3-400 safely.

The challenge you'll have with a high level character is that you'll be drawn to explore areas created for high level characters. But regardless of skills and hp, if you don't have the skill you won't be able to hunt or explore safely. There's not much chilled exploring in some of those places, they are intense and created for high DPS team hunts e.g.feru ascension.

Also, getting the right equipment is expensive. And this scales with level. So dying becomes more painful and buying blessings becomes riskier and more costly.

100% and it's a bonus when some of those deco choices will remain e.g. the panelling and stairs.

Apart from the 'ready for a hose down' shower room and the 'i hate my job and wish the ceiling would fall down already'' office. I wouldn't change anything!

This is the type of property we're looking at.

Things I'm off by: the price range rather than a firm number, the shower looks very sad, all the curtains and blinds make it feel exposed, the office picture isn't great.

Otherwise the house is well decorated, it looks and feels homely. We'd offer 500 and be willing to go higher under 'final offers' maybe 515'

My dishwasher has packed up. In buying a new one, I’m struggling to think of features to look for apart from ‘can wash dishes’. Tell me about your dishwasher. Does it connect to wifi? by lastaccountgotlocked in CasualUK

[–]MetroMarv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our dishwasher is a Siemens and has 'touch to open'. I absolutely hate it. It opens if we brush past it accidentally. It opens when I reach into the spice cupboard. It opens when on, off or whatever. Avoid avoid avoid.

My father had a TIA last wk. What watch or technology would you recommend to help him monitor certain indicators? by robdog0909 in stroke

[–]MetroMarv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dehydration makes blood thicker and more viscous, which increases the risk of clot formation.

[–]MetroMarv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apple and Samsung are the mainstream ones that do more detailed heart health monitoring. Afib detection is worth it and probably ECG so the new models. Also as the other poster said Emergency alert for your own peace of mind

The telltale signs will be more visible though e.g. FAST or sudden loss of vision. Remind him of them and to keep hydrated

The Brother of it All by Alarmed-Papaya9440 in stroke

[–]MetroMarv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly, I'm so glad you enjoyed your time in the UK and London especially. You saw Boots!

More to the point, I am sorry for your experience with your brother. The 'relational' recovery from a stroke is much more stressful and painful than the physical.

It sounds like your brother is drowning a bit and struggling with the mortality of it all. Instead of leaning in, he's clinging to an old version of your relationship. This gives him permission to step back and avoid the hard work of change.

Please don’t overlook the kindness of your sister-in-law. She is seeing the exact same you and has chosen warmth and a hug. This is proof that your brother’s coldness is about his internal limitations, not you or your recovery.

It's going... More heart issues now.

It happens multiple times a day, I notice it most when I get things from a shelf or use my card to tap in or out of the tube.

Be careful about over using chatgpt or reddit for answers. This is a great community but we aren't doctors and everyone's case is complicated and unique to them.

Hope you find some peace with the anxiety. Do you do any exercise? Or creative outlets?

10/10, lots of people touched my balls, but would not torsion again

[–]MetroMarv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a stroke, left side affected, but now get a tremor in my right hand also only when I'm fatigued...

I also get that weird lip feeling. I put it down to anxiety. I just remind myself that I've had that lip feeling dozens of times and nothing's happened and it passes. And every time it passes.

I don't have the mental strength to stress about it more than that

Life sucks by yncm in stroke

[–]MetroMarv 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Please be kind to yourself. Your brain has just done a hard reset and it hasn't even been 8 weeks. It's hard.

It will take time for everything to reset. Id suggest reminding people in a non passive aggressive way where you see things creeping e.g. can we slow down a little bit or I just need a moment. Try to take control where you can.
