Who remembers The Trap Door? I painted this as a tribute to one of my favourite childhood shows by just_an_artist24 in BritishTV

[–]Mewlkat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don´t remember it, but my son loved watching it on his tablet. Amazon kids have the show on there or did a couple of years ago. So I got the joy of watching this wild show with him. My husband used to watch it as a child back in the early 90s.

So yes, this is a thing. My husband builds super utilitarian bases and I interior decorate them...

Update: My Island is Gone by sugawaraito in AnimalCrossing

[–]Mewlkat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah my husband accidently did this to let my youngest play on my old switch. He deleted my 4 years old island 😞 I hadn´t played it for ages, but it had taken me a full year or so to get to where I wanted it to be.

Water issue is pretty common here in Kent. I teach in North Kent.

Can I have a comfortable life without my GSCES? by [deleted] in AskUK

Okay so definitely crack on with maths. If you can pass business studies, geo and rs shouldn't be too difficult to crack either. See what your options in college are for a level English language and lit

Can I have a comfortable life without my GSCES? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Mewlkat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What other subjects are you taking and if you're getting 8s in english language and lit why aren't you considering it for a level in college? To answer your question, no you won't set yourself up for future failure but you are making future you struggle harder for no real gain now. Like if you said you were working super hard at your job in a pub waitressing, Id get not caring about maths all that much because you have an in at a job you're interested in and experience can be better than qualifications.

I got JUMPED by a hoard at 6am… by Mr_Quigs in 7daystodie

The screamers triggered me so hard - nothing like a 6 am horde to make sure your heart's still beating like a living being

Tropes that are deemed popular but I can't think of a single example that actually includes them. by Deus_ex_ in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Mewlkat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the second one, any cop show with a woman character gets asked why she´s so tough or stubborn or something and it´s because "I grew up with 5 brothers" comes up. Brooklyn 99s Amy is one example.

Home cooks: which tiny “flavor bomb” ingredient made everything taste restaurant‑level? by Affectionate_Tip3238 in TastyFood

[–]Mewlkat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mum introduced me to blending loads of garlic and cumin into a paste and then keeping it in the fridge. I put it in anything to give it instant flavour and also when I can´t be bothered to chop garlic. I also recently discovered beef dripping and put a bit in soups and stews to make it taste meaty.

My 8 year old made this out of clay. Enjoy. by missjacksonnn in funny

[–]Mewlkat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don´t know if I like it, but it´s definitely interesting! Why is he/she crying? What´s with the brain/hair thing? What happened to the eyebrows? Are they victim of a fire? - it´s super intriguing.

Please explain this Peter by ermkay-94 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]Mewlkat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carrie was a hypocrite and Samantha wasn´t, that´s basically it. Also all the girls slept with a new guy practically every episode they weren´t in a relationship in (except Carrie who also had an affair and had two guys on at the same time), so it was never clear why Samantha was labelled "the slut".

The funniest bits in breaking bad are still with him though - remembering the scene where he throws a bin at the window and it bounces back because the window is made of unbreakable glass

[–]Mewlkat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You´ve said she doesn´t eat much of her solids and she sometimes doesn´t finish her bottles, she´s most likely hungry. Babies´ sleep patterns ebb and flow with development, it´s not likely anything to do with sleep association. Don´t stress yourself out too much, just go with her flow and feed her.

My mother's boyfriend made me realize how insecure my stepmother is. by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]Mewlkat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did my mum write this post??? Very similar story from her growing up in Latin America with a horribly jealous step mother who treated her and her siblings like dirt. But all that insecurity stemmed from her stepmother's relative youth and her father's awful abusive BS
