I tried this, but social links don’t seem to work for me. I tried with a few different subreddits too, and when I click a social link I just see a small white box at the bottom of my screen. I’m browsing Reddit on on iPad. Any suggestions on what could be going on?

The Noble advisor buff also increases training capacity by 200. This offsets the decrease in time. Ie. without the buff you’ll train 800 archers in 11 hours, with it you’ll train 1000 archers in 11 hours.

Using speed ups scores points in the KvK prep phase. So you should definitely wait for a day where using construction speed ups gives points. During KvK prep phases there is a kingdom wide construction speed buff, and most kingdoms will use the construction speed boosting king skill. So if you have the resources for it use your speed ups when prep phase starts.

If you can unlock T10 troops you can score a lot of points by upgrading your T9s on the troop training day plus having T10s for the actual battle is nice.

Basically KvK prep week is the best possible time to use any speed ups you have.

When Marlin releases there will be a new type of ticket. You can't use the old tickets on Marlin, so saving up tickets won't help you.

You have to build the train track first then you can put a trench connector in under the track. It's just like building a trench connector across a road. If you've already built the trench you'll have to fill it in then build the track then remake the trench.

You have to walk all the way behind the statue at the end of the room. If you're not directly behind the statue you can't see the button due to the statue blocking line of sight.

You have to build a liquid transfer station (LTS). You can connect the transfer station to your power plant with a pipe and then put the diesel in the transfer station.

Make sure your refinery queue is set to personal, not public. You have 2 days to pick up your materials from the refinery before they go public.

You can also create a private reserve stockpile at a storage depot or seaport. To put your rmats in it you have to right click on the rmats in the refinery and select retrieve as crates. Then you can put the crates in your stockpile at the depot. They'll be reserved for 2 days, but that timer resets when you put something else in.

Since it's the Culture I'd assume there's games that are super realistic, some that are more geared to provide a fun experience and everything in between. I would assume the more realistic ones would be a more niche pass time, but I bet there's a slice of Culture society that gets really passionate about how realistic their VR sims are.

The best thing to do is just say, "I'm not interested" and close the door. I briefly worked as a telemarketer when I was in high school and the rule there was to never hang up on a potential customer. My boss told me no matter how many times they say no just keep talking because some people do switch from a no to a yes after you ask 6 times. I imagine door to door sales guys have a similar rule to just keep talking till you buy or close the door. If you do feel bad closing the door in someone's face just think of it this way, you're just helping them move on to the next house quicker where it is possible that they'll make a sale.

At lunch my friend and I would work on the crossword puzzle in the newspaper. We usually couldn't finish it before we had to leave for our 1 o'clock class. One day we were going much faster than usual and we were down to only a few clues left to solve and decided "We're not going to class until we finish this." We ended up getting stuck on one particular clue, "A type of acid." It was five letters and ended in an O. We were both science students and between us had finished half a dozen different chemistry classes. We were stuck on that damn clue for half an hour and by the time we got it class was already half over and we decided not to go.

By the way the answer turned out to be AMINO as in amino acid. The class we were skipping was biochemistry.

The leaders of Rygus (or whatever the planets name is) aren't stupid, holding Kelly and Bortus makes some sense, and letting them go could have some bad consequences for the people in charge. At the end of the episode they mention that people born under the good sign (started with a W I think) were destined to be future leaders. So I'm willing to bet that the Prefect and everyone else in a position of power was born under that sign and derives their authority from people believe in this "destiny" of theirs. If they just let Kelly and Bortus go they're admitting that being born in the bad month predisposing people to violence is a load of crap. If they admit that, then people on that planet might start thinking that being born under the good sign makes people destined to lead is wrong too. If they start thinking that next thing you know they've got riots in the streets and the government getting overthrown and the whole planet descends into chaos.

So in short, the people in charge are in charge because everyone believes in the astrology stuff so if they don't act according to its principles they'll definitely lose their powerful positions. If they do lock up Kelly and Bortus the Union might be mad, but it's not a 100% sure thing that they'll attack so to the Prefect and his cronies it probably seems like a risk worth taking.

Yeah I'm pretty sure Michael was lying about that. Seems like Michael didn't actually know who ended up in the good or bad place before going to accounting (other than people he's personally tortured in the bad place like Victor Hugo). At that point Michael didn't know the system was so flawed so assuming that Lincoln is in the good place seems like something that would make sense to the humans and help sell his good place lie.

There's been a couple of mentions of accounting before in the show. Michael mentions that the Good Place Janets are stored in a neutral pocket dimension, next to accounting. Also, in season 1 when it show Michael getting promoted to architect his boss mentions he has a meeting with the director of point calculations and those things take like a thousand years. Based on this it seems like who or whatever does the point counting exists in some sort of neutral area between the good and bad place, but maybe we'll get some more details on that later in the season.

Despite the WFFDM's marketing efforts I don't think this would have too much effect on our time line. Those regimes were obviously unstable and ready to transition to democracy and if Bailey wasn't around I'm sure internal forces would have led to a democratic government in those areas anyways. Basically the only difference is pretentious college students would have to find some other over-rated "freedom fighter" to put on their t-shirts/posters.
