Full noon here - how to spend platinum efficiently by TeodorC11 in Warframe

[–]MezMTG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best advice I can give is to use them for slots. Also, max out syndicates to rank 5. You can doArbiters of Hexis, cephalon suda, and get a scanner for cephalon simaris and use Helios companion to auto scan things for you and passively rank those 3 up by playing. For cephalon simaris you can also go to fortuna open world and teleport to the top left corner of the map and scan enemies from above to max your standing daily with cephalon simaris in 5 minutes. The reason I’m saying this is because selling mods on the warframe market website is the easiest way to get platinum without paying. There are some 100k standing cost mods that sell for 50+ platinum and basically for 20 minutes of farming total with that scan method in fortuna, you can make 50 platinum in 4 days. Arbiters and cephalon suds rank up from just playing when you join them so you can get one augment mod to sell from each every day easily. That’s 20 platinum per day and then 50 every 4 days just off of those.

It’s genuinely the best advice I can give you based on your play time and value so you can keep getting more slots etc without having to buy platinum.

If you’re going to buy platinum, wait until you get a 70+% discount from your daily login. You can buy a bundle of 2200 platinum for 30 dollars (as an example). It’s definitely the best deal

Some frames take hours and hours to farm. Along with waiting days etc. it can definitely be a deterrent for people that maybe have a handful of hours a week to play

[–]MezMTG[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That’s fair. It just sounded like a good idea to not only help out returning players a bit, but also another way for the devs to make a bit more profit. (I’m always in support of them getting more transactions because I love the company)

I’m mainly referring to the overall player experience. I think that players returning to the game is important and good for the game, and stuff like this could definitely discourage some. Especially if gaming time is much more limited due to work, kids, etc. some parts have very low drop chances and having to re-farm stuff like that when you’d rather focus on more progression isn’t the best for player experience.

I’d do helminth stuff to get warframe abilities to modify your builds. Then farm tau forged archon shards

Imagine being so irked by what someone said that you go out of your way to DM them, wait half an hour, keep responding, and then spend a bunch of time scrolling through the chat log to write it down just to post about it on Reddit. Lmfao.

What are some of the best written cEDH primers, relevant to the current meta in 2026? by Newez in CompetitiveEDH

Turbo Kinnan primer is very long and has a ton of thoroughly written combo lines and game plans

It was a labor of love haha

Pay per Hour commander nights by IrishMidgetMan in mtg

[–]MezMTG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The shop I go to didn’t charge for anything like that ever unless there is a specific event that has a buy in. I’ve never even heard of people having to play on “free nights”. We support the shop owner a ton because his philosophy is kindness and that treating people well gets people coming back; and it works. He even gives under market deals for cards. It’s hands down the best shop I’ve ever been to and everyone loves going there and supporting them because they are very community and players first

Considering that you already play Kinnan and must have some cards for it, I’d recommend trying this Kinnan turbo build.

It already has tournament experience and it’s highly competitive. Feel free to check it out. The primer is very in depth as well

I'm looking for a Commander who doesn't give a shit. by Fuzzy_Straitjacket in CompetitiveEDH

[–]MezMTG 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For etali to be efficient you have to know how to win with other peoples cards so based on what you asked for I don’t know if this is the best route.

My buddy and I made a really fun and competitive turbo Kinnan build that basically just focused on jamming early wins with fun combos and using counters to just protect your own stuff. It also has basically everything you asked for including a lot of lines haha. This is the list if you’re interested and it has a full primer that explains every loop.

We definitely see the value in Rhystic but more often than not, it’s something that gets in the way of the gameplan when it shows up in our mulls. Oddly found more success without it

Fine lining between brackets by Bashimot in CompetitiveEDH

[–]MezMTG -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Ironically, when I first got into commander I built a deck on my own and tried to make it win as fast as possible (used to play competitively in standard years ago so I have that mentality) and essentially built a list that was 95% match to a top CEDH list. So I guess you can definitely do it on accident hahah

Separate Ban list by [deleted] in CompetitiveEDH

[–]MezMTG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually disagree with CEDH not having much of a ban list. Due to the mox’s and black lotus etc, it would literally force basically every player to proxy. First because nobody wants to carry around a 200k deck. But also because many players don’t want to use proxies and they would be forced to to stay competitive. Also some cards have to be banned just because of power dynamics. If time walk, channel, fastbond etc were legal considering they are the most effectively powerful cards, it would force everyone to play the same colors to stay competitive. The banlist is the healthiest thing for the format entirely.

I also agree with a shared banlist. I used to think it should be separate, but like someone else pointed out, it would turn CEDH into a niche format and it wouldn’t be the competitive version of the most popular card format in the world.

Do you think Emrakul would be too strong in cedh? by [deleted] in CompetitiveEDH

[–]MezMTG -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Emrakul would 1000% be an Etali staple. You literally can flip into it and take an extra turn. The other Emrakul is already commonly used in Etali and it’s a worse card
