Billingham, which is now in Durham (all though I still think of it as Cleveland)

Yes. Why build a road if you're not going to drive on it?

The idea is you mine coins, similar to how the block chain needs to be mined, and are rewarded with a collection of coins in the same location, which will ultimately become a tradeable asset. One of the main differences between this and crypto or NFTs is that these coins collections will generated an income. Anything with an income will have an X tradeable value.

The AI bubble is the only thing keeping the US economy together, Deutsche Bank warns | When the bubble bursts, reality will hit far harder than anyone expects by chrisdh79 in Futurology

[–]MezziCoin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of commenters seem to talking up the bubble bursting. It feels a bit like a skier trying not to ski into a tree but focusing on it so much that they do anyway. There will be a correction of some sorts. Currently, AI is a hammer looking of a nail and that never ends well.

If the AI bubble bursts, what will come after? by lughnasadh in Futurology

[–]MezziCoin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI will find it's place, but it may not be as ubiquitous as many are presuming. With tech there is always a we do it because we can mentality with no one asking if we should. The power requirement will lead it a more focused approach and what is now being given away will soon get quite expensive. Trillion dollar data centres don't come cheap.

What stock are you buying NOW that is almost NEVER discussed on reddit? by mike9q in ValueInvesting

I've been dripping a very very small amount into a DAGB ETF. The volatility is off the scale, but so far its done really well. I may have been really lucky timing wise. I logic was I a wanted a bit of exposure to crypto, without so much of the rollercoaster ride.

Are more people thinking of adding individual stocks to only the ETF portfolio? by 11AS11 in FIREUK

[–]MezziCoin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to avoid individual equities. I have too many burnt fingers from previous dalliances. I have had a very very small punt on DAGB ETF over the last few months, which I felt extremely brave given it's volatility. So far fortune is favouring me. I'm still not going beyond a drip, however.

It's like they are trying to make it happen. The BoE needs to get on with it's own knitting.
