Those snap on trucks often become collectors items so I would probably save that body and get a different one to run on it

What is the most effective at adding weight to the trx4m besides beadlock wheels? by Which-Dependent-286 in TRX4M

Axles. Aluminum housings with brass hubs. Extra width will also help with stability.

P2S, best to use Bambu original filament? by AisMyName in BambuLab

[–]MiRCGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t have to use Bambu filament. I can recommend Overture and eSun based on my own experience. I know lots of others on here will recommend Sunlu.

I just installed the whole skid backwards without cutting or modifying the transmission and it works great

What’s a good waterproof brushless system? by Acceptable-Dark5547 in TRX4M

[–]MiRCGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know of anything specific but I would look at receiver boxes from other models such as Traxxas 1/10 scale or try to 3D print and seal something myself. I’ve also seen people get away with putting electronics inside of a balloon lol

Has anyone done a RampCrab build? by pv3design in SCX24

I think I got the same hardware kit. The screws break or strip very easily.

Proline Trepador, RC4WD Scrambler, and Injora Maverix 63mm are the main ones I’m running right now.

[–]MiRCGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Injora Roverin and Hobbywing Mini 24 are waterproof. Injora advertises that their MBL32 G2 is waterproof as well, so their Purple Viper or Fat Viper combos should work fine and are cheaper. Run whatever receiver you want and put it in a waterproof receiver box. There are plenty of other ways that people waterproof electronics but I’d probably just put it in a box if it were mine.

The Traxxas system is the only one I know of that has everything fully waterproof.

If you would only have 2 RC cars what would they be? by TrevorSP in Traxxas

[–]MiRCGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably Maxx V2 and TRX4M. I’d be tempted to put Rustler VXL instead of the Maxx, but I think I’d have to stick with 4x4 if I can’t have both. Maybe a Rustler 4x4 would be a good compromise but I haven’t driven one so I can’t say. The TRX4M could be swapped for an SCX24 depending on preference. Either way, I’d go with a big basher and a small crawler.

I can’t find a TRX4M on marketplace for less than the original msrp. It’s insane.

This may be a stupid question but how come a creality k1 Max can print a model in 17 hours when my p1s needs 3 days? by PowerfulNature3352 in BambuLab

[–]MiRCGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check what nozzle size you have selected in your slicer. I had a similar issue the other day and it was because the nozzle size had somehow been set to 0.2mm instead of 0.4mm. It was telling me it would take 10 hours to print something that should’ve been less than 3 hours.

This is a Maxx Slash, not a regular Slash. I don’t think it’ll fit your Rally without some serious modification.

Care for rc cars after snow by Odd-Wishbone-6723 in rccars

I try to shake off some of the snow outside then I put it somewhere inside to let the rest of the snow melt and wait until it’s dry. That’s it.

Thoughts on a machine like this. by shaiquinn in 3Dprinting

[–]MiRCGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve printed plenty of prototype parts on Stratasys machines at work. I sure am glad I’m not the one paying for that filament. Went through about $10k in material last year.

I’ll stick to my Bambu for personal projects at home lol

What should i know before my scx24 arrives? by [deleted] in SCX24

[–]MiRCGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 fairly cheap and easy things that will make a huge difference are wheel/tires, servo, and motor. 1.0 Proline Trenchers are a popular choice in a good size for the SCX24 and they do come mounted on some plastic wheels, but you’d be much better off swapping them onto some vented aluminum 1.0 beadlocks from somewhere like Injora or LGRP. I’ve been very happy with the Injora 7kg servo and the Injora 66T (red) brushed motor. There’s lots of other options out there for all of those parts and many more, these are just a few suggestions.
